Required a COVID-19 Vaccination to be seen last November 2021. Since she accepts my insurance, she is required to see me with no conditions.

If you want a caring doctor this is the one
Looking for the best pulmonary care in South Florida it’s not JFK , it’s not Boca, Wellington or Cleveland Clinic it’s Dr Mkono. Local Boynton Beach office nice location. This doctor will sit and listen to you then explain why you’re not correct . Then shows her professional side as she gives an exact description of your problem. Then explains how it needs to be treated. And from my experience she treats and succeeds. Don’t let her small size fool you; it’s pure power and knowledge.

Absolutely not!!! I have reqeusted a copy of my cpap prescription and she refuses to provide it to me if I do not come into the office for a visit. She did the sleep study and all I need is a copy of the prescription to get a new cpap machine. I don't understand why she refused to provide my medical records without having to come into the office in these covid times. I am going to contact the authorities that have control and take complaints against doctors. She is being unreasonable and I am thinking all she wants is her fee for the visit which I offered to pay to get the cpap prescription.

ALWAYS a long wait. She would tell me I wasn't a doctor, so dont diagnose myself. I would tell my symptoms, and say what I thought it was, and she would say I am the doctor, your not!! I am the patient, and this is how I feel!!! NEVER a good staff, or organization!!

The worst doctor my mom and I have ever visited. She spent the whole time complaining about all the paper work she had to do for insurance and then announced that she didn't have time to do any of the tests that were requested on the referral. She told us that she couldn't treat my mom until she had a catheterization to confirm her condition. Dr. Mkono wrote a note for my mom's doctor saying that she needed a catheterization STAT. that she told my mom to go the emergency room and that we refused. We decided to go to the emergency room after all and the ER doctor said that the way the STAT comments were written, it sounded liked my mom was having a heart attack and he had to admit her to the hospital. Two days in the hospital to confirm that my mom did NOT have a heart attack. When we went to her primary care doctor, he said that the catheterization was too invasive for a 90 year old woman. Her new pulmonologist agreed and scheduled her for a non-invasive breathing function test.

Horrible!!! Worst experience ever. What a waste of my time. Apparently the doctor doesn't care about my time. They would not send me paperwork in advance. After I arrived for my appointment and signed in it took them 20 mins to acknowledge that I was there. They refused to give me the paperwork until they verified my insurance and said until they were sure that she would see me they wouldn't do so. Who does that? You make someone come to your office before you determine if you will see them based on their insurance and ability to pay??? You're supposed to do that before a patient comes to your office. Again, no respect for my time. Then they charged me $50 upfront when my insurance states that I pay 10% of the allowable. This is not the correct protocol for a participating provider for Cigna. I reported her for that. Then when I get in the room, 1 hour later, I heard her tell her staff that she would be back after they entered all my info into the EMR.... REALLY? Now I ha

Dr Mkono is a very warm and compassionate doctor she takes as much time with you as needed no matter how busy she is. She is definitely worth the wait time to see her. I highly recommend her the only draw back of being her patient is the wait time but she is well worth it if you have the patience to know she is always running behind schedule because she is so caring and understanding.

I have been seeing Dr. Mkono for almost 2 years now and quite frankly she is a breath of fresh air. I have Scleroderma and I am surprised just how many Doctors have no idea what it is. Dr. Mkono knew exactly what tests needed to be done in order for us to form a baseline to work together. She listens, she is honest and would highly recommend her to all of those in need of a caring and knowledgeable pulomonologist.

Today was my 3rd visit to Dr Mkono! All 3 times that I was at her office. She was always way behind schedule! Today, as every other time, she treated me with no respect at all! She has an attitude that she’s better than anybody else. She constant was asking me if I have a problem with remembering, by saying that she had told me things that I know she never told me about! She was angry, my first visit that I hadn’t brought the CD from my MRI, when no one had told me to do so! NEVER AGAIN!!

Have been waiting for days for a return phone call, having left several messages. When office staff is unresponsive, things look bad for the doctor. I am sorry to have to leave this bad review but feel lack of response can only have a bad reflection on the doctor.

Everyone in the office is kind and chipper every time I go in. Dr. Mkono is a very bright lady and it’s easy to see she cares for her patients. She’s always been honest with me about my treatment options. I also firmly believe she really helps me choose the best option for me. I don’t know where I’d be today if I hadn’t made an appointment with her.

Every time I’ve gone in for an appointment they all show me nothing but love. It’s a like a family away from family almost over there. Dr. Mkono is always available when I really need to make an appointment, and she takes great care of me while I’m there. She takes the time to break things down to me in simple terms. It’s always a good experience, and I can’t think of anything negative that’s ever occurred while I was there.

I get nervous going to any doctor’s office. This was a little different too as I was referred here, but nonetheless I was timid. Thankfully Dr. Mkono is very easy to talk to and helped me feel a little less intimidated. She took her time when explaining things and made sure I understood everything. I felt her compassion, and she seems like a very good person at heart. Plus being a great doctor.
