I saw Dr Roberts in 2010 when he was practicing in Colorado. He performed my surgery, before my post op follow-up visit, I received a phone call from his staff saying he was leaving practice because of his health and I was referred to another surgeon. When I went to the other surgeon, I found that he had totally botched my surgery and it had to be redone. BE CAREFUL!

I understand that an L5 S1 partial discectomy can have its consequences. However, I question both Dr. Roberts' ability and ethics. Both before and after the operation, his response to my question, When will my back be healed and I can function normally again? was always You'll be as good as new in 30 days. After six months of pain, I was referred to a nerve specialist who gave me epidural steroid injections two months apart. This finally set me on a path to recovery, which took over 2 years.

After Dr. Roberts referred me to another pain Dr for a test and I call Dr Roberts office he was out of business. I still do not understand that. It has been two years since he did surgery on my back and I think it is just as bad as when he did the surgery. I am still seeing the pain dr he sent me to as the spinal injection with him did not work either. I am getting pain meds from him. I am still not sure what to do. I don't like taking meds.
