Dr. Wayne Steinbeck, MD

Dr Steinbeck has always been very forthright in his discussions. He has taken the time to listen and also make sure he’s understood in his treatment. He delivered my child without complications and made me feel safe. Throughout the years I have always felt informed due to his professionalism. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced physician.

App’ts are on time Dr. Steinbeck is pleasant and I have been going to him for 15 years. I have only needed an annual exam so my experience is limited.

Very rude staff!! My wife and I are new to Metuchen. We called the office to book an appointment as a new client. We were informed that without a picture ID with our current address we would not be able to schedule an appointment. When I offered them to come in with a proof of address they said if I cant provide a photo ID as federal law stipulates then we cant be a customer of theirs. When I asked which federal law requires a photo ID with an address listed I was then hung up on. When I called back for an explanation I was treated poorly again and hung up on. All this mind you while keeping a calm tone and being rather nice considering how I was being treated. They seemed to take joy in denying me service.

I had an early miscarriage in my second pregnancy and I took 5 pregnancy test to confirm I was in fact pregnant in the beginning. I was bleeding shortly after and I knew it was different from just a normal period. When I went to Dr. Steinbeck, he would not acknowledge that I was in fact pregnant and said the pregnancy tests were wrong. All 5 of them. He was so rude and uncaring that I left crying and never went back.

This was my first visit, after a friend recommended this office to me. I had a very easy & painfree visit. Minimal wait time. Doctor was very personable & made me feel comfortable. Was in and out in less than an hour!
