Dr. Yuan's office staff and co-providers are wonderful. Dr. Yuan herself was a full 45 minutes late to the one and only appointment I had with her, brought a colleague to the appointment and then handed it off to him. The only input she gave was about increasing one prescription dosage, adding two more prescriptions to my regimen, and re-emphasizing her $50 appointment cancellation fee policy. I expect I'll never be compensated for my time in the way she is being compensated by me paying a $50 fee for having to cancel next my appointment just barely under the 24-hour window.

Dr. Yuan is a very compassionate doctor. She listens VERY well and takes notes while she listens; in my experience, this keeps symptoms from being forgotten. She remembers details about me between appointments, and she is concerned about the causes and not just the symptoms of mental disorders and diseases. She does prefer low-dose therapies when prescribing for patients. I can’t imagine her being deserving of the few negative reviews. She is VERY knowledgeable about depression therapies and provides information so that her patients can approach their disorders holistically. She’s humble, kind and compassionate. She’s very smart, up-to-date, and deeply considerate of her patients’ health. (At least in my experience) After two visits, I felt compelled to share this information. She is the best psychiatrist I’ve been of whose care I’ve been under.

She was very attentive at my first visit! She seemed like she really cared and wanted to help. I know in today’s times doctors are very cautious. But she generally seems to care and give her patients the benefit of the doubt. She seems great!

Horrible physician. Do not go to this doctor. She is dangerous. I don’t know how she passed med school.

I told Dr. Yuan up front that I did not want to take prescription meds because of my history with bad reactions. She has tried to give me four different drugs. I had a unique situation as to why I was seeing her in the first place. It was due to a bad reaction to meds. Now all of a sudden, she diagnosed me as bipolar. That is far from the truth. No, I'm not in denial. My brain has been altered by a bad drug prescribed by a doctor, but I will recover! I AM NOT BIPOLAR! I will NOT go back!

I've had an excellent experience with Dr. Yaun. I've searched for the psychiatrist for several years, and until I met Dr. Yaun, I don't feel that my needs were adequately addressed. While she is always willing to make suggestions and provide psychoeducation, I never feel that she is pressing medication on me. Often, she tells me about alternative research-based strategies that can address my issues, rather than immediately suggesting I increase my medication. I feel that she is very attentive.

Dr. Yuan is very attentive and assuring during our sessions. She was knowledgeable about my diagnosis and provided support through my recovery. With her help, I have made a turn-around in life. She does not push meds but rather works with you to figure out the best treatment. She is also very responsive with questions. Shortly after leaving an appointment, I emailed a question and she quickly responded. Dr. Yuan also spends as much time with me as needed. I highly recommend her services

Less than 3 mins after mtg me for the 1st time she told me what mood state I was in (I must be manic because I tap my foot). Less than 10 mins after meeting me, she changed my primary diagnosis & repeatedly explained to me that Lithium was the best med to treat Bipolar & is what I need to take (despite telling her I tried it in the past, it didn't work & I had a bad reaction to it). On my 1st visit she wanted to make 3 major med changes when I've been stable on my current meds for 4 years.
