A very caring Doctor!!!
I initially went to see Dr. Bauman when I had detached vitreous. He took his time to explain what happened to my right eye, which helped me to keep calm. I continue to go to Dr Bauman now for several years. I highly recommend him! His staff is always professional...! have had no trouble getting appointments, nor when I had to change an appointment!

Extremely Rude
Very rude and rushes patients. Always overbooked and most patients will wait 2-3 hours to have a 5-10 minute one sided (his side) conversation. He is also not very nice to his staff (the few that he has left). His office is sort of clean but a lot of the medical equipment is broken or very old. Getting a call back will take days, if at all.

I have diabetic retinopathy
I have seen Dr. Bauman several times already and have undergone a couple laser procedures and two injections in both of my eyes. Each time the Dr has explained the procedure and what he is doing. His staff is efficient and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone having retinal issues complicated by diabetes. He ultimately gave me a very realistic wake up call on getting my sugars under control and recommended treatment ultimately saving what vision I do have.

Concise, Precise, Thorough
My regular ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Bauman on a Thursday and I got in to see him the following Monday. His examination was thorough, his explanation clear and concise, and his plan of action detailed and direct. It was immediately clear to me that this physician has considerable experience and expertise. I felt absolutely comfortable with his manner and plan. A vitreous injection was indicated, which I had administered the next Wednesday. The procedure was quickly conducted with a minimum of anxiety. Dr. Bauman’s staff is efficient and friendly. I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Bauman to anyone requiring retinal specialization.

he was very rude when I was trying to tell him the name of my Reumathology. I have a hevy accent and I repeat the name 3 times and I even spell my doctor name. he still don't understand me ,he was very frustrated and tell me so rude "I don't understand what you telling me" Having bilingual employees in he's office , why he don't call for help. I will never visit his office again.

My mother has been a patient here for over 4 years for macular degeneration. Not ONCE did this doctor tell her that smoking is a major factor and that she needs to quit. So for 4 years her eyesight has worsened..while he keep making thousands of dollars from giving her injections. This doctor is a greedy monster! He could’ve helped her tremendously by doing his job and letting her know that she must stop smoking. She even filled out her medical history letting them know she smokes.-not to mention you can easily smell it-. I wish we could go back 4 years, to when she had some vision and see a doctor that cared more for his patients than for his wallet.

Asked several times if he was a pediatric Dr. The response was he sees a 3 year old ?. Waited in his office 2 hours with a preemie baby, and a 1 year old. Once I asked if we were forgotten he came in, with no bedside manner and an attitude. yelling at my niece because she was trying to swaddle my godson/nephew which the doc didn't know how to do. stated he would numb his eyes, instead put the clamp in his eyes the baby screamed in pain, he was not numb. I know the screams. Report to the board

I have to say, I was terrified on my first visit. All of the sudden I couldn't see out of my right eye. This man/doctor actually saved my life, turns out I had high blood pressure & didn't even know it. Great vision now. You have to have patience to be a Bauman patient. He is a great Doctor who cares.
