Dr. Wendy Fried-Oginski, MD

Dr. Wendy Fried is not only incredibly talented and brilliant, she’s warm and compassionate. You never feel rushed and you know your health is in the best hands. She is attentive and diligent. She not only provides my GYN care, she delivered my children and saved one of their lives at birth. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Fried.

I used Dr. Fried for many years and couldn't have been happier. I found her to be compassionate, knowledgable and very easy to talk to. However, I had an appointment for a check-up scheduled for this past February, which I made months ago. A few days before the appointment, I was contacted by the office and told that Dr. Fried would be out of the office on the day of my scheduled appointment. I asked about re-scheduling and was told that the earliest available appointment would not be until the end of May. If I had canceled the apppointment, I would have accepted that date without complaint. However, I was ready to keep my scheduled appointment and it seemed unreasonable to be told that I could not be seen for months through no fault of my own. Therefore, regretfully, I decided to look elsewhere for a gynecologist.

Dr. Fried is famous in every circle and is who everyone recommends. Almost everyone I know goes to her. It may take a few weeks to get an appointment but I wouldn’t use any other doctor.

Dr. Fried’s bedside manner is unparalleled. She is professional, very smart and truly knows what she is doing. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Best doctor ever.

Dr Fried- Oginski is a wonderful doctor but her office manager leaves a lot to be desired. After calling the office over twelve times and receiving promises from this woman that I would be called back and/ or emailed at least four times a detailed itemized bill to submit to my insurance company I finally got things resolved today by speaking once again to Northwell Financial Services who could not help me earlier because Northern Obstetrics had not submitted their bills to Northwell Financial Services nor did they seem to know that they had to. I see prior reviews are saying the same things. Today is April 15. I have been calling for over a month.

Dr. Fried is an excellent physician, but dealing with her office is frustrating and difficult. Her nurse returned my calls a day or two after I left messages. At least twice, I left messages for the Office Manager and she never called me back. I physically went to the office to speak with Dr. Fried and to have her call my Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) to dispute a denial. I left the paperwork with the front desk and asked if I needed an appointment to talk with Dr. Fried. The front desk told me to call her nurse which did. The automated response from the nurse said if I needed to speak with the doctor, I had to make an appointment. I left a message and neither the doctor nor her nurse called me back. I do know they addressed my issue with the PDP, but her office never gave me the courtesy of a call back. I cannot see a doctor who makes reaching her so difficult. I am now going to another gynecologist.

Dr. Fried is hands down the best OBGYN on Long Island. She is compassionate, thorough, and kind. I am in healthcare and have treated a number of Dr. Fried's patients who all rave about her and the excellent care they receive at Northern OBGYN. I am also lucky to have Dr. Fried as my OBGYN. I highly recommend her to anyone searching for a gynecologist on Long Island.

Dr.Fried is an excellent doctor in every respect. I'm 60yrs old and newly diagnosed with breast cancer and have recently started taking Tamoxifen. This was my first visit with Dr. Fried and she was very kind, compassionate and caring and spent a long time with me answering all of my many questions.She is extremely well informed and up to date with the information she provided which gave me great confidence in her advice and relieved my anxiety about so many aspects of my health. She's the best!
