I was just at my 3 month visit for my left hip, Dr Smidt also did my right hip. I had so much pain in both hips it was pretty bad. I had trouble walking very far, getting into a bath tub, just everyday tasks I needed to do. After my right hip surgery, my leg had no pain like before. I couldn’t wait to have my left hip surgery. The surgery went just as well. I feel Dr Smidt is a great Dr. He treats you with respect answers your questions patiently, and he has a great bedside manner. I would certainly recommend him to everyone.

Excellent surgeon.
Dr. Smidt has performed knee replacements and rotator cuff repairs for me. All four surgeries went very well, and I have been happy with the results. He has offered excellent post-surgery support.

Dr. Smidt is a fantastic surgeon.
Dr. Smidt made sure I understood how the surgery went. Answered all my questions in layman's terms. I asked if I could see my new knee. Had the Nurse pull up and let me take a picture.

Dr. Wesley Smidt is compassionate and easy to understand and I trust his decisions making skills. He was my second opinion where my first told me that he couldn't do anything for the pain and I would have to live with it because I was unfit (overweight but nothing wrong with my heart). I found Dr. Smidt from a recommendation from an independent physical therapist. I have been able to perform normal daily activities like taking baths and tying my own shoes and picking up grandkids which some of these activities were so painful for over 12 months because another doctor kept telling me I had to live with it. Less than 2 months I have more mobility and less pain then I did before the total shoulder replacement. I don't have full mobility yet but I am two months exactly (surgery was Aug 9, 2019) when I drove for the 1st time and I was driving safely. I recommend Dr. Smidt for any shoulder issues.

Dr. Wesley Smidt is compassionate and still gets right to the point. Surgery went really well. I do recommend him for any shoulder or knee surgery. He performed a total shoulder replacement on me in August 2019 (I am 56 and not physically fit) however I am still able to get dressed, take baths without assistance, tie my own shoes like normal people (I haven't done this in 12 months) and even drive my vehicle safely after only 2 months. If you follow his directions and exercise you can get better in 6 months. The surgery is less painful then activities before the surgery. Because the regiment he prescribed has allowed me to return to normal activities in much less time than was expected. Again I recommend him for anyone that is h aving issues with your shoulder.

Dr. Smidt has the most compassionate bedside manner I have ever had. He takes time with you and genuinely has your best interest in mind. He replaced both of my knees within one week apart. I was scared to death, but because I was in his care it eased my fears. I never would have considered a double-knee, but he knew I had the inner strength to do it and as a result, my quality of life and new knees are amazing! His nurse Eric is also a huge patient advocate. I value Dr. Smidt's quality care!
