Best Doc and might slightly be childish
Man has been practicing for years. He's been around the block. He’s got a twinkle in his eye. Always so happy to see him! Super thorough and tells it like it is. Doctors swear an oath to protect their patients. Not the feelings of their patients kiddos.

Rude and childish
My father was in the hospital for a minor stroke. Grana walks in this morning, asked my dad how he was feeling and then began asking me had I spoken with Social services about my fathers discharge. I told him I would speak with them and with my brother about whether he is going home or to rehab. He then said “You have to make a decision before they will release him”. I said I understood that and asked was he being released today because he gave me the impression that the decision needed to be made now. When I asked that, he literally snapped, and in a very patronizing tone he said “Ma’am this is a process”. So at that point I informed him that he did not need to talk down to me and that a little courtesy goes a long way”. His reaction to this was to turn around and leave the room without another word. First of all, grow up. Second of all, treat people with respect. And thirdly, recognize that you are a doctor who works for the patient not the other way around. Do not recommend!!

Dr. Grana has treated and (hopefully defeated) a deadly disease "C-DIF" and explained what it was. It was painful. Like I knife in my belly. Dr. Grana understood this and he and his staff at Regional Medical Center in Anniston made me as comfortable as possible. I hope it never comes back...but if it does, I will hope to have Dr. Grana on my side.

I went to Dr. Grana for years and found him to be the most thorough and meticulous doctor that I have had in my life, and I am 68 and have been to many doctors in my life. I found him to be very responsive, to be very articulate in communicating my condition and why it was happening, and he always pointed to ways I could reverse it. He is a remarkable doctor who care much more about his patients than he does about the business of medicine. Those who listen to him will learn and be well served.

Have seen Dr. Grana a few times. He correctly diagnosed me with gallbladder issues (now removed); 2nd time - kidney stones; 3rd time he sent me to have bloodwork b/c I'm predisposed diabetic to check hA1c. He is an advocate that nutrition can reverse many diseases and recommended watching the documentary, Forks Over Knives. He believes a plant based diet can help people live longer/healthy lives. Not many doctors promote nutrition over prescriptions. I like him a lot!

I've been seeing Dr. Grana for years. He is very thorough, and communicates well. He has even drawn diagrams to help me understand how organs work together. He is patient when I ask 100 questions (sometimes I can be a bit of a hypochondriac!). Several people I know also use him, highly recommend him and wouldn't use anyone else. I have known him to personally visit patients several times a day in the hospital, even as late as midnight when he should be home with his own family. A++
