Phenomenal experience and results for both of my knee replacements. I am forever grateful to you Dr. Bugbee.

Bilateral Total Knee Replacement surgery. Dr. Bugbee and his team were thorough and set great expectations for the surgery and recovery process. The personal follow up from Dr. Bugbee has been amazing. I am exactly three weeks post surgery today and can walk 1500-2000 steps without a walker, perform all physical therapy with little pain and swelling, and have not needed opioids post surgery. My post surgery pain has been less than the pre-surgery pain. My only regret is that I didn't do this surgery two plus years ago.

I can't tell you that the entire thing was smooth sailing but once past the worst of it at about three weeks things starting improving rapidly. I've had hardly any visible swelling or bruising and the scar is even hardly visible at the eight week mark. Excellent surgeon makes a big difference. Thanks Dr. Bugbee

I knew I needed both knees replaced for years & went to see Dr. Bugbee about getting started on one. He practically insisted, based on my health & abilities, that I replace both knees at the same time. I was taken back but he said why would you want to go through this twice when you know both will need replacing. He was so right!!!! I’m so very grateful I did both & at follow-up appointments & at physical therapy I’ve been told I’m doing above average.He’s kind, listens, gives you his full attention without feeling rushed & an absolutely outstanding physician!!!Thank you Dr. Bugbee & your entire wonderful staff for giving me the ability to enjoy life fully again after years of pain.

Dr Bugbee's professionalism and 'no nonsense' attitude regarding pre surgical requirements. I learned to respect that when I deviated 'ever so slightly' from his requirement of no smoking nor alcohol 30 days prior to surgery! I was promptly rescheduled, adhered to his STRICT requirements and therefore, got an excellent, non eventful outcome with my knee surgery. I have nothing but RESPECT for his rules and pre and post surgical requirements.

This was my second hip replacement performed by Dr Bugbee, first was my right hip then my most recent on the left. I had a leg length issue from a childhood sports injury, Bugbee was able to even out the difference. I have zero pain, tremendous range of motion & regain my flexibility. Dr. Bugbee always makes my issue feel important. He is very thorough and is interested in my overall health. I have had four replacement surgeries with Dr. Bugbee; both hips and both knees with excellent care and success. I would not want another orthopedic surgeon.

If you need a hip replacement, look no further and do not delay. Dr. Bugbee is your guy. I wish I would have had my hip replaced by him a year ago. The top of my femur was flat and my pain was so bad, it impacted everything I did including my sleep. Surgery went great, walking next day, home PT for a bit then outpatient PT and I am so thrilled. I was on pain meds for about 1.5 weeks and then I litereally had zero pain. Dr. Bugbee is so knowledgeable and experienced and he really takes the time to answer all your questions and make sure you are comfortable. His whole team at Scripps is top notch. 100% recommend.
