He saved my life after my hernia mesh from a previous surgery punctured my intestines! He removed damaged area repaired hernia area and I’m alive today because of him! Very nice man loves to laugh with you and joke around at right time and is very serious about his job as a surgeon!

I had colon cancer, a pretty scary thing..but Dr.Ku eased my fears. He was able to remove the tumor, an open surgery, and i am alive today. He is a wonderful doctor. He uses terms that patients can understand, he listens and never seems rushed. While I was in the hospital he would come and see me and make me laugh And it felt like a friend coming to visit. I would let him operate on my children that's how much confidence I have in him.

I needed a double laparoscopic hernia repair. Dr. Ku looked at me and was confident about doing the surgery for me, as for Walnut Creek Kaiser Permanente did not do the laparoscopic. I felt good about Dr. Ku's confidence and agreed to have my surgery with him at the Martinez Kaiser Permanente. I left Dr. Ku's office and ran into a former patient of his. The former patient showed me his scar and it was almost invisible. 13 years later and my scar is almost invisible and no complications.

Absolutely the most compassionate Dr. I've ever had. He came twice a day to see me while I stayed in the hospital for a week. His bed side manner was excellent and his knowledge is keen. I trust in him and will be seeing him soon for surgery.
