Asked for help not to misinterpret my wording
I went in to see if I could get a handle on my anxiety attacks. I suffer from Tachycardia, insomniac & PTSD with a panic disorder. He suggested to replace one of my medicines and I had issues with that medication.I wanted to go back to the medication I was okay with & without the side effects. I asked him how safe was that drug he wanted me to take and he said it had been approved by the FDA. I explained to him that I had taken metformin, metoprolol & valsartan before which had all been recalled at one time which had been approved by the FDA & that I was very concerned about a new drug. Then he turned & sarcastically said “ you’re trying to make an excuse not to take the drug “. I have a very delicate system & for whatever reason my body metabolizes them differently so that is why I had asked . I will not be back to see this doctor . I learned through a pharmacist that all medications have binders (Excipients) in them and I had a bad allergic reaction. This doctor I would not recommend

'I am compelled to share my appalling experience with Dr. Greene, whose negligence and incompetence led to a harrowing ordeal. Despite assurances of no side effects, I suffered severe adverse reactions within three days of starting the new medication he prescribed. When I alerted the facility where he practices, they recognized the gravity of the situation and advised me to seek emergency care. I was hospitalized twice at separate hospitals, and the experience was nothing short of traumatic. I feared I had suffered a stroke.Fortunately, once I discontinued Dr. Greene's prescribed medication and resumed my original treatment, the adverse effects largely subsided. This experience highlights Dr. Greene's alarming lack of expertise and his failure to consider potential interactions or contraindications.I strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution and avoid seeking care from Dr. Greene. His ineptitude has had a profound impact on my well-being.

Dr. Greene was attentive, responsive, thoroughly engaged with me and focused on addressing my healthcare needs. Some reviews suggest that interactions with Dr. Greene were rushed. That was not my experience, although on a couple of occasions I gently pulled him back from moving to the next patient on his busy schedule, in a time when healthcare facilities are stretched thin owing to the Covid pandemic. I would recommend Dr. Greene without reservation. Students under his tutelage at UF Health are blessed to have an excellent teacher, and Dr. Greene's patients are fortunate to have him as their physician, even if they may be in denial of his considerable attention to their recovery. Five stars, Doc.

“One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest” happened to me. V.I.S.T.A. is by far one of the worst facilities one could go to seeking help from addiction. No one on one with a doctor. Mostly drug addicts giving advice to other drug addicts. I met so many serious drug addicts that needed help desperately, they did not get it at V.I.S.T.A. I was there because Dr. David C Wymer (neurologist) had been overmedicating me with Gabapentin and I was having over 20 adverse side effects. The side effects they say to stop taking and go to the ER or your doctor immediately. These side effect were misinterpreted by Dr. Louis W. Solomon (psychiatrist) as me being a drug addict and insisted I need to go to V.I.S.T.A. and detox. Dr. Greene (psychiatrist at V.I.S.T.A.) is an idiot and not any help to the patients there. I can see now that when a doctor can not get a job at a reputable hospital he ends up at UF Health in Gainesville.

I have been seeing Dr. Greene on and off for over ten years and he is the best. He balanced empathy with sternness which is what people in recovery need. Any bad reviews are likely those who wanted a doctor that would give them anything they wanted. Thanks for the tip on legoland.

I am truly sad to read this negative feedback relating to Dr. Greene. 6 years ago when he told me he would BA/MA me if I didn’t stay for treatment voluntarily, I may have agreed with you. However, today I can thank him for saving my life. I’m not sad to read the comments because our opinions differ - I’m sad for those of you who denied him the chance to change your lives as he did mine. Pherhaps whatever he said to anger you only did so because you needed to hear it. Incredible doctor!

See any other doctor. If you have substance use present he'll likely steer you to the detox center. The one he just happens to be the director of. It's an awful place-- like a jail with degenerates and an ugly depressing atmosphere. I did not need to be there. I could have and have since had better outpatient treatment elsewhere.
