William S. Haaz is an arrogant, pompous physician and should learn compassion and sensitivity when dealing with his patients. My cardiovascular system is far too vital to my well-being for me to be subjected to the treatment that I experienced with Haaz. Haaz failed to realize that medical care is not a one-size fits all approach. All patients and situations are unique. Furthermore, health care providers should always listen to the patient so he can understand the fears and/or concerns so he can take action to alleviate. It is unrealistic to think patients are going to blindly follow whatever a doctor says without having some sort of confidence that the procedure is needed, and he is the best person to perform the procedure. Haaz grossly failed to do so. He also failed to alleviate my concerns regarding the recommended procedure. I recommend prospective patients read this review before seeing Haaz, so they can be prepared to be ignored and belittled.

Dr. Haas stormed into the office, began firing questions at me, interrupting me before I had an opportunity to complete an answer, was just generally rude, dismissed any concerns I had without explanation, then told me I had high blood pressure, which I don’t, he had gotten me so angry my blood pressure had spiked. He then went on to order an echo and lipids test due to family history. Upon getting results of those tests through the patient portal I was expecting a phone call since there were abnormalities. No phone call. Finally, after some time, I called, was told he would call me back, he did not, his receptionist did… three weeks later. She said, “he said don’t worry the tests are ok”. I’m sorry, but getting vague second hand information from a receptionist about test results is incredibly unprofessional, I’m not calling about my internet connection, I’m calling about the organ that keeps blood flowing through my body. Unbelievably awful experience from the beginning.

I am Dr.Haaz's patient since 1994. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable cardiologist, very attentive to details, usually patient (but sometimes not enough). I a very glad to have such Doctor on my side. What's related to his staff, in majority they are friendly, willing to help and accommodate patients' needs, except of: Advanced Physician Management Group, LLC, which provides billing services to PA Heart & Vascular. Unfriendly over the phone communication, and unwilling to help in understanding of provided Billing Statements. Therefore payments per such Statements are delayed very often. If anyone is interesting in any details, please communicate via e-mail below.

I brought my father in to see Dr Haaz for his first cardiology check up since being D/C from the hospital. We had a 2:30 appointment. It is now 4:45. The nurse just stopped in to tell us it would be another 30 minutes!!! The lack of regard for the patients time is utterly astounding to me. We were told by every staff member here that this is how Dr Haaz’ patients are routinely treated. As this appointment is critical for my father, we shall continue to wait. Trust me, this is a first and last visit at this practice.

I've been a patient since 1984. I LOVE this man. He's calm and not one to rush a procedure until he's sure. He treated me for 25 years with medication until he decided it was time for further action. I'm certain he's saved or at least extended my life and my quality of life. I give him the highest praise possible.
