Pleasant Experience
First time in the office. Everything went smoothly, staff was kind and efficient. I had neglected to complete my new patient paperwork online and the woman at the desk as very kind and told me where to go online to finish. Waited less than 5 minutes and was taken back to the exam room. The nurse was there immediately and Dr Hanner a moment later. Every thing was very professional and efficient. The Dr. himself was very personable. He listened to my complaints and gave a thorough explanation of what needed to be done. His demeanor is very calming and reassuring. If you’re trying to make a decision I can’t imagine you could go wrong here. I had no issues and was a pleasant experience for something I had not been looking forward to.

This man saved my life. Literally. Trust him.
Dr Hanner was the surgeon on call when I arrived at the ER for a bowel obstruction due to undiagnosed stage IVa colon cancer. He removed the cancer in my abdomen, told me I probably had cancer, and gave me the confidence to be positive and battle forward in my treatment. Among other things, his manner is excellent, he's a good listener, he cares, he talks to you respectfully and straight without getting sappy or rude. He's always willing to answer questions. He's someone you can trust to help you, and I'll recommend him any day of the week to anyone.

First, the office staff is friendly and efficient! Sometimes those two things together are hard to come by. I had to have a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my hand and for all my anxiety beforehand, I shouldn't have worried. Dr. Hanner was great, from beginning to end. I hardly felt the initial numbing and the procedure, overall, went great with no worries.

After 4 failed hernia surgeries that resulted in pain and destroying of tissues surrounding, I got the name of Dr. Hanner from another Dr and he was the best. Spent plenty of time explaining things and was knowledgeable about autoimmune disease which was great for me. My surgery was the easiest experience yet and after having open repair with biologic mesh, I was driving my Daughter to school in 4 days. I was amazed at how quickly I got better. BEST surgical experience for me and I've had 15 now. Lol

We refused to let him remove parts of several organs on my family member. He said they had cancer when there were no test showing they had cancer. He was only suppose to put in a drain tube & perform a biopsy. He didn’t even make any large incisions to see if there was any cancer. Good thing we refused because he lied. They would have been missing parts of several organs and possibly had an ostomy.... He shouldn’t be practicing anywhere!! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.....

Dr. Hanner is a professional, personable and accepting surgeon. He performed emergency appendectomy on me via emergency room admit. Then, 3 payments later, Theresa, in billing, offered me a 60-second lecture on paying my bill on time. A few of her unsolicited and ill-timed comments: "You'll have to pay on the 21st because our office will be closed the 24th & 25th." "No we cannot lower your monthly payment [from $100 to $50] in December because it will drag it out and take too long." I owe $610.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Hanner. In my first appointment Dr. Hanner asked me to share what symptoms I was experiencing, rather than just reading them off a chart and offering a solution. He spent time explaining the procedure he would perform and patiently answered all of my questions regarding it and what to expect with my recovery. I felt he listened well and I never felt rushed through the appointment.

Dr. Banner performed surgery on me world 2 1/2 yers. ago. I was supposed to be released the following day but because Dr banner went on vacation the following day the hospital could not reach him to release me. It being the 4th of July weekend I had to stay until the following Monday until another Dr released me. During discharge i was told to contact my Dr asap to have drainage tubes removed, ended up waiting a couple more days for him to return from vacation.

I have had a few surgeries and this was by far my BEST experience. Most surgeons are blunt and lack bedside manners, but Dr. Hanner was great. Customer service and knowledge at its best, this is rare! My family, as well as I, were so impressed by his bedside manner, knowledge when answering questions & his calming confidence. He took the time and I really felt he generally cared. If I have another surgery, without a doubt, my family and I will definitely be utilizing Dr. Hanner!
