Replaced my knee in 2015 and I'm still having problem with it. It was pinching right after surgery and I told him, the same day. HE IS NO GOOD...

What a RUDE, RUDE doctor! Dr. Hovis did a knee replacement on my mother and was so rude and disrespectful to her. He has a “god” complex and is so very arrogant. He didn’t want to hear that my mother was doing all he told her to do. He kept insisting that she didn’t follow his directions which was not at all true! His NP was just as bad. Very rude and didn’t want to listen to my mothers concerns! I would NEVER refer anyone to him!!!

Dr. Hovis has preformed surgery on my hip, knee and shoulder. I think he is excellent at his job. Surgery was the last resort for me to relieve my pain. His staff is excellent.

I have been a patient of Dr. William Hovis since 1977. He has corrected birth defects in my feet. Surgery for a broken ankle, 2 knee replacements & surgery on both my hands. I have NEVER had a problem with the surgeries and have had good results. He is an excellent doctor in his field. He is not Knife Happy. Surgery is the final step. He has always be courteous and kind. He does expect you to follow his instructions for recovery. Which any doctor should.

Dr. Hovis has been my orthopedic surgeon for 30 years. I've never seen any behavior that could be considered unprofessional. Sometimes there is a long wait. when this happened I learned he has spent extra time with a patient having more difficulties than expected. I know Dr. Hovis has made other patients wait due to spending more time with me. I don't begrudge him doing the same for other patients. His P.T. people are the best in the world.

Dr. William Hovis should not be allowed to practice medicine. He is short-tempered, rude, arrogant, and the most ignorant-acting doctor I have ever met. I absolutely would never recommend Dr. William Hovis to anyone.

Dr.Hovis has operated on my knee, shoulder and ankle over the years and is,in my opinion,a world class surgeon period.I have moved out of state and had another knee surgery which did not go well.Really wish I had Dr. Hovis do it since he always got it right with excellent results. It was always a long wait in the waiting room but well worth it.Mark K.

DR. HOVIS IS THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN. HE IS ARROGANT, A BULLY, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Absolutely horrible. He is so convinced in his "superior intellect" in EVERYTHING that he does not listen to the patient. He does not work for the betterment of the patient. I use the term "doctor" very loosely with him because he does NOT deserve to be called a doctor. I would rather trust the opinion of a good veterinarian for my health issues than this quack.

Dont Trust This Guy in Knoxville, TN – Nov 18, 2016

Dr Hovis is a fantastic Physician. His wait times are a bit lengthy so I would definitely dedicate your day to it and eat before you go. However, he knows what he's doing! Staff is super friendly and easy to deal with and his plan of care helped me recover from my knee surgery in no time (which is huge for my private and work life). I would recommend him to anyone looking for a physician with plenty of experience and a steady hand! Good work Doc!

We saw Dr. Hovis for a second opinion, really just to ease our minds, but ended up staying with him. He explained our son's knee injuries in an easy-to-understand but in-depth way, allowing us to ask as many questions as we needed. His plan before and after surgery was vastly different from our previous doctor - we were impressed with his knowledge and experience and felt completely confident in entrusting our son's surgery to him. We're six months post-op now and all clear. Highly recommend.
