Holds Matienance Medications Hostage
This doctor has been my physician first more than 4 years. I am routinely forced to go without my maitenance medications for Asthma and High Blood Pressure due to Dr. Hughes refusal to fill a prescription unless he is able to collect for an office visit every three months. This doctor is not concerned with the health of his patients. The appointments that are had, only confirm the list of the medications followed by a bill. I am not even concerned with the price of the appointment; I do not have time to have an office visit every three months for chronic unchanging disorders. My life span has surely been shortened due to Dr. Hughes' refusal to do the rifht thing for his patients.

Didn't listen/Highly unprofessional
Went in for a one-time appointment because of the ED room, will not be going back. The moment he started asking my medical history, I started telling him everything I had. At one point I started to discuss with him that one of my medications was making my eyes worse. He then asked me what the diagnosis was. The moment I told him, he immediately cuts me off and starts to vehemently deny my diagnosis 'because it's rare' despite the fact I have testing results to prove it. Afterwards he sent me on my way, not even asking if I could fax over the results from the other doctor. It was highly unprofessional.

Covid
I visited Dr. Hughes a few times and really liked him as a doctor. I received the vaccination and was having some high blood pressure so I wanted to consult my doctor before doing anything else. I was told they would not see me unless my boosters were current, when I told them I wanted to consult a doctor before getting booster shots they said I would have to see someone else
