Dr. William Kriegel, DO

You cannot get a hold of the office. I called them 10+ times. Then messaged them through my chart multiple times just to ask a question and I haven’t received a response.

I called Dr. Kriegel's office because he is listed as an osteopath which is someone who aims to restore the normal function and stability of the joints to help the body heal itself. I've had hip pain and thought he could help. They asked if I wanted a physical or a hip check and I said I want help with my hip pain. When I saw the doctor, he bent my leg towards my body, said I probably had chronic-arthritis and gave me a referral to an orthopedic. Thank you for the $431 bill and the referral. If I wanted an orthopedic I could have called them myself. He did try to turn the office visit into a physical, giving me referrals to other doctors. When I asked Piedmont to make this a physical visit (one covered under my insurance), they made me wait 5 weeks while they checked with his office who responded that the visit was coded correctly.

To start, the doc was polite, so that is something. What I did not like was that I mentioned several of my health concerns and he did not seem at all interested in discussing them. He seemed interested in checking off the boxes and referring me to specialists. I don't go to doctors very much and felt disappointed on leaving, because I did not really know any more about my problems or have any plan other than to go to specialists. I am trying to be fair, I know these men have time limits and are under stress from their employers. But I feel like if I had dropped dead in his office, he wouldn't have blinked an eye. Just called the cleanup guys.

I was not pleased with this doctor nor with this hospital. The diagnosis was not correct and the hospital charged for every visit although the treatment I was given was wrong.

He's been my doc for ten years. Always thorough and caring, he set a new standard for PCPs.

He has awful bedside manner. Couldn't give a crap about what is going on with a patient. In and out faster than I could take a breath. I stopped seeing himwhenni coukd see his PA unti she left. Today I called to ask for a Zofran type medication because of a nasty virus I have. They told me ever so nicely that office rules about call ins had changed and in would have to come in. NO THANK YOU!
