Dr. Lighthart did a TKR on my right knee in June 2020 (when I was 78. ) I was happily and confidently skiing on it in December ‘20; and gently bumpskiing in May at Killington. VT’s loss was WY’s gain!

I had total knee replacement and was in and out of the hospital within 36hours. when I vetted Dr Lightheart I was astounded at his qualifications. I am recovering well an looking forward to getting my other knee done!

He is the best. He gave me a new hip.

Dr. Lighthart took advantage of my ignorance & my lack of experience, to try to push hydrocortisone shots for a knee injury that did not remotely need such shots! Please keep in mind that these types of shots/injections ONLY cover up the pain, they do "treat" anything. If I had taken these shots I would have continued to use my knee in a destructive way, which would have put me on the path to more injections & eventually, to knee replacement surgery. This "Dr." is looking out for his own financial interests. And good luck trying to find a lawyer to hold him accountable for his unprofessional & unethical behavior, as he has testified for numerous lawyers in Rutland, Bennington, Windsor & Windham Counties in Vermont. No doubt to insulate himself from litigation. Truly an act of a thoughtful predatory doctor. I keep forgetting that in America, medicine a business first & foremost.

Comment - being there - Hip replacement on left worked out no problems in May 2019 - the right hip - did not - as a 72 year old women in good health after the hip surgery feel fine and able to walk OK? - Early December my Hip - bone cracked/broke - recovery was many months with lots of pain - unable to perform house hold tasks or even get down stairs - taking shower/bath ? Have a leg that is shorter and never discussed this up front or how to help - maybe not his concern - until I asked - last appointment October 16th with assistant seemed very cold - just to let me know who cares.

I HAD A POSTERIOR TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT. DR, LIGHTHART IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, INTENSE, VERY CARING,VERY WELL TRAINED, AND IN GENERAL EXCEPTIONAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDEING AN ORTHOPAEDIC SPECIALISTS.

So far so good, after three weeks from minimally invasive posterior total joint replacement of right hip. Driving, shopping, using only Tylenol for pain. I know it is going to take time and I don't expect to be really pain free for at least two more months. But every day I get a little bit stronger. I put this off for over three years and I really had to do it. No complaints. You see the PA a lot more than Dr. Lighthart but I'm sure that is the most efficient use of his time.

Dr Lighthart listened carefully me, offered good advice, and was genuinely concerned with the pain I was experiencing. I received two injections from him. This was done in a very practiced, careful way. At the end of the office visit, I was reminded to call with any concerns.
