Dr Lutes is a highly skilled surgeon, excellent patient care and very supportive staff.

I am a 69 year old female that has never had a surgery. After researching what all an anterior hip replacement entails, I had a lot of questions. I never felt rushed. He listened and really exudes how much he cares for the well-being of his patients. I knew that I was in good hands. After surgery, he personally went to see my husband and assured him all went well. His office staff are warm and congenial and very quick to respond to MyChart messages. I don't think you will find a better surgeon. For any future orthopedic needs, I will only go to Dr. Lutes!

I can't believe how good i feel after just 2 weeks. This was my second hip replacement and I feel like I could run a marathon already. I heard the nurses say that Dr. Lutes is the best and I would have to agree. The technique used this time was so much less painful then the other hip. I would also like to compliment the entire staff that took care of me at the surgery center. Top notch all the way. If you need a hip replacement, this is the way to go!

How much everyone cared about me

Dr Lutes is professional and personable. He was thorough and I feel great after my hip replacement surgery. His staff was knowledgeable and attentive as well as responsive to my needs and questions. I’d recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Lutz explained the procedure in complete detail. He took time to ally my concerns. I interviewed other ortho surgeons before meeting Dr. Lutz, but chose him that day and scheduled the appointment. I am two weeks post op and thrilled with the results.

Dr. Lutes is both highly knowledgeable in knee replacement/repair & a kind/compassionate Healthcare provider. He really listens to his patients & encourages questions. I highly recommend him for any knee related issues. He will not push for surgery if there are better solutions available.

The operation and recovery team function well in optimizing my recovery. A few of the details of the surgery could have been better explained concerning the effects of anesthesia an intubation could have be better explained to me after surgery (raw throat, difficulties in elimination and urination). These were not major problems but they did foster anxiety. All in all, the treatment seemed to be focused on the best over all results. Perhaps a sheet explaining how recovery/pain/side effects might be expected as healing occurred? This would have worked to promote a sense of things proceeding positively and normally.
