So much for doctor-patient relationship!
Dr Sima was a great doctor in my past and my children and I have been going to him for around 30 years. He was a miracle worker for my shattered elbow. So now I had a fall which broke my patella on a Friday -- went to French Hosp which was great and was to schedule an appt on Mon with an orthopedic surgeon. They gave me a RX for several pain pills to last until I could meet with my doctor. I called Dr Sima's office around 9 on Mon to schedule. They called back around 11 and said I could see the PA wife on Thurs and he could stick his head in if needed. I was disappointed not to see him and I pointed out that if I didn't see him until Thurs, how was I to get pain medication until then. There is a reason mobsters bust your kneecap --it hurts! Mattie talked to Dr Sima and called back too late to get an appt with any other doctor. Dr Sima said to call my primary doctor for pain. So he relegated my treatment to his PA and left me to fend for myself for pain. After 30 yrs? Cold!

Dr sima first operated on me in 1993 for the first time. I fell off a ladder and shattered my wrist he operated on it and after him repeatedly begging me to keep using it! I could not move it because of the swelling he told me what are we going to to do to make you use it? told him to put me to work long story short he did and wrist is probably better than most anybody elses! a couple years later my daughter broke her arm hospital staff said surgery i went to him and almost begged i did not want her cut on i said you can do something. he said let me try something so he casted hey xrayed the arm cut the cast and wedged it til he liked it! did that for a couple weeks told me he liked it. she did not have a operation from a dr who main thing is surgery. he cared about what we wanted! i think Dr sima is the best surgeon in the world the last year he has operated on my shoulder and hand and hes the best!! My hand turned into a claw due to dupuytrens contracture he made it like new! bestdr

Dr Bill Sima replaced my right hip 16 days ago with the anterior approach. My hip started bothering me 5 years ago. 2 years ago, I quit running for good and I started to limp and could barely walk when I received my surgery. It was out-patient surgery, I went home the same day, and I could walk without assistance. I used a walker at home for around 3 to 4 days, then a cane outside. Minimal pain during the first week, and almost no pain now at 16 days post op. His care, and staff care where first rate. Very attentive and caring from all. I received a call from him at home the night of my surgery. A+ service is my rating.

Dr. Sima is fantastic and his office is efficient and polite. I just had carpal tunnel surgery and after just 14 days, I have almost total use of my hand -- no pain and the incisions are virtually healed. Many of my friends who had similar surgeries from other doctors reported unsatisfactory results -- I can report the opposite. Almost immediately, my prior symptoms were relieved and I am seeing more improvement each day. The surgery center Dr. Sima used was also excellent.

Very thorough. I am 76 years old and have had different issues over several years. Verbal and written information and instructions excellent. Excellent results. My last issue was a knee replacement. I have full use of my knee after 2 1/2 months. The physical therapy after the surgery is very important. The in home therapy set up by Dr. Sima's office was excellent and starts you off in the right direction.

My husband contracted a very serious bacteria, "Puesdomonas" & 2 other bacterias during a surgery Dr. Sima did on my husband's fractured humorous on 1/18/11. After Dr. Sima brushed him off for over 9 mo. My husband ended up in Seattle, WA. on 11/18/11 to have his shoulder opened up & 3 bacterias were found during surgery. My 92 yr. old Mother went to see Dr. Sima for painful corns & calluses. Surgery is not an option due to her poor circulation, she was advised to purchase an arch support insert. He didn't offer to have the callus shaved give her relieve from the pain she's been in. She had seen Dr. Byrnes with the same issue & this is what he had his assistant do & it relieved her of the pain that she in now in & is having much difficulty walking. Dr. Sima could have done the same. Suzanne Korba

I have had 2 orthopedic procedures performed by Dr. Sima. Prior to seeing him I consulted 2 podiatrists and another orthopedic surgeon to treat my bilateral Hallux Rigidus on both great toes. Thankfully I declined the surgical fusion that all recommended. I tried "rocker shoes" and inserts but neither addressed the pain nor allowed me my preferred the activity level. After consulting with Dr. Sima he recommended implants on both great toes and I consider both surgeries a success.
