Good for insurance, horrible for an injured worker
Horrible doctor for a person going through a wc injury but I suppose a good doctor for the insurance companies and the employer. Spent less than 10 minutes with me and then sent a SEVERAL page report stating that there wasn't any evidence of an injury at all! He didn't even do a physical examination! He should be ashamed of what he does.

Don’t recommend. Surgery left me with a limp.
Bad bedside manners in hospital after surgery. Now walk with a bad limp. Implanted hip failing.

No trust. He should not be a doctor. He would say any lies just to get more money out you! He tried to convince me to do an expensive procedure and telling me that it is the must. Two other doctors confirmed that such procedure would be even dangerous for me.

Better as an Insurance compensation Doctor, because he can't listen so he makes up his own stories.

Thank you, Dr. Simonet!
Dr. Simonet was caring and compassionate. I went in with shoulder weakness and was given some exercises to try. When I told Dr. Simonet that my mom had died at age 54 (diagnosed at 45) of Striatonigral Degeneration and her first sign was weakness in her neck and arm he immediately saw the concern on my face and said let's check it out. I had an MRI a few days later and he literally called before I even got home and said, "you do not have what your mom had". I was so appreciative that he took my concern seriously and wanted to put my mind at ease as quickly as he could. I had a simple bone spur which he fixed up perfectly! I tell this story all the time, because Dr. Simonet is a doctor who truly cares. Ten years later and my arm is like new. Thank you!

I received a cortisone shot in July of 2020 and it seemed like a diagnosis of a cortisone shot was already made before he entered the room. The pain this time was different and more severe and I tried to describe the different levels of pain I was having when doing different activities but he did not seem interested and just wanted to give me the shot and move on to the next appointment. A family practitioner had put a number of restrictions for my job but Dr Simonet did not see any need for restrictions so they have all been lifted. The shot may not start working for a week ( if at all) so in the meantime I have to suffer through my duties at work that just aggravate the knee and increase the level of pain.

Dr Simonet has been my doctor for many years. I know how good a surgeon he is because I was his PA for 10 years. I saw how meticulous he was with his surgeries. Both my total hip surgeries went well. The first one I was off my pain medicine within 5 days and back to work 2 weeks after surgery. Now retired I’m looking at having my 2nd total knee done by him.Total knees are a lot harder to recoup from and was harder for me. I didn’t expect that but after taking care of so many of his patients I wasn’t surprised. Each part of your body is different and heals differently. A TKA recovery is a lot of work and shouldn’t be taken lightly. You’re not going to be better in 2 weeks. Your recovery depends on how much work you put into it no matter if it’s your knee, hip or shoulder. Do as much research and reading ahead of time to help make your recovery go well. There’s alot of information through orthopedic society. Remember you only hear 20% of what the doctor tells you about the surgery.

Dr. Simonet was the on call orthopedic surgeon for Fairview Southdale Hospital when I dislocated and fractured both bones in my left ankle, the tibia and fibula, called a bimalleolar fracture, which is was severe. Both he and his Physician Assistant were excellent, and he did a wonderful job surgically repairing my ankle, and very happy with my post-op care. While I got him as my Orthopedic Surgeon by chance, by him being on call, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! He makes me laugh when I have seen him in follow-up after the surgery, asking how my "special ankle" odd doing, as I now have a plate and many screws in it.

From my first appointment to the day I was sent home after total knee replacement, I was accorded nothing but total professionalism. Dr Simonet, in addition to being a "regular guy," in an extremely gifted surgeon. I give the entire team the highest rating possible.

I had a TLKR in January 2019. I was extremely happy to have Dr.Simonet as my surgeon. He made himself available for questions, met with me before going in for surgery and bright and early each morning at the hospital. He and his staff were fully supportive and put me at ease.

I had both knees replaced within the last year with doctor Simonet. I've been seeing him for over 5 years for treatment of various joint related problems. He is the absolute best. I could not be happier. I have recommended him to friends and family who also have had great results and could not be happier. Please remember that most people who are happy with an experience don't bother to leave a review. Those who were not pleased - for whatever reason - are more likely to leave a bad review.

Had both hips replaced, Sept 1st and Oct 27th. Arthritis at age 52. Both procedures went great. Back to exercising with my trainer to continue to get my strength back. Couldn't be happier with the results! Referred to Dr. Simonet by a golf buddy who also had great results.

Do yourself a favor and skip over this guy! This guy will happily do your surgery and after it's over treat you like a drug addict. You are expected to be on pain meds for 4-6 weeks after a Total Hip Replacement and that's a fact. A week after surgery when we called for a refill of 5mg of Percocet he told my wife and I NO. We would have to fight this guy everytime to get a perscription filled. Needless to say i was off of the narcotic in 3 weeks vs the 4-6 which i definitely needed for rehab.

I'm telling anyone considering having any kind of surgery with Dr. Simonet to reconsider, find a specialist which he is not. Dr. Simonet performed total shoulder replacement surgery on me and now you can consider me handicapped. I would never go through the TCO group for any kind of issue what so ever again. Do your self a favor and find a back, shoulder, knee specialist and not this hack.
