Dr. William Skakun, DO

I was scheduled to see this doctor. Arrived at appointment and he was not there. They did not call me to let me know this. I had to see a doctor that was seeing his patients. 1st the doctor had none of my information with him that was sent over. He would not listen to what the issue was. He went of on some explanation that made absolutely no since at all. What he was say had absolutely nothing to do with what was in my file about my condition. He did not have my file with him in my visit. He was writing things down on a yellow note pad. The staff with the exception if one person was rude and had no idea about my case.

Everyone in this office is very nice and professional. The nurses and the Dr. Skakun take however much time you need. I never felt rushed and I had plenty of time to ask any questions. They are very friendly and helpful! And, the wait time was never very long at all during any portion of our visits.

Dr. Skakun repaired my mother's hip break and provided much needed and appreciated bedside manner that helped ALL of us. Love this guy. His energy is boundless, and his professionalism and talent is obvious.

Dr Skakun is always the ultimate professional who never makes me feel rushed. He is very patient, thorough and does leave the examining room until all my questions have been answered. I feel extremely fortunate to have found him and be under his care. He is the best as is the office staff.

Very thorough and caring. Dr. Skakun was wonderful to my son, and made him feel at ease. He even called to follow up after my son’s appointment to ensure that he was not having any issues. We were very pleased with him and the service he provided!

I had a 1520 hr appointment and was not expecting to be called back until and hour later. By my appointment time I was x-rayed, had seen the doctor and had medication and PT scripts. The staff and Dr Shakun were extremely efficient. I had seen other local OD's and never received an explanation of my condition and appropriate treatments. Dr Skakun was very economical with words but very efficient in answering my question in non-medical verbiage. Summary, pleasantly surprised with the efficiency of the staff and Dr Skakun and very appreciative of the treatment options offered and explained to me.

I didn’t have to wait long at all. He spent time with me explaining my injury, reviewing the X-rays, and discussing treatment options. His office staff was very courteous.

Office itself was very neat and tidy, I was a little put off by the fact that an inmate in full shackles was placed with the rest of all the patients in the waiting area. I myself work in a correctional facility and yes they are people too but normally there is a separate area for these types of appointments for security purposes. The guards attending him need to be re-schooled on how to deal with an inmate when around people, especially children.

I highly recommend Dr. Skakun! I was very impressed with the amount of time he took with me. He really listens, and is very thorough!

Dr. Skakun became my doctor when I broke my ankle x3. He was at the ER and has been awesome since that night. He completed surgery and put 7 screws and a plate in my ankle. He explained what he was doing and why. Very easy to understand and took the time to make me comfortable. I would recommend him and have 100% trust in him.

Dr Skakun performed surgery on my left ankle consisting of a plate and 8 screws in total doing a perfect job. The healing process has been a breeze due to the results of a job greatly well done. From day 1, Skakun assessed my injury with complete professionalism describing my diagnosis and action needed for my recovery. Skakun let me joke about my situation, staying professional, he went along and joked back which was VERY important to me! 110% TRUSTED. 110% SATISFIED! 5/5 Outstanding surgeon!
