A waste of time. Poor office support and apathetic treatment.

Very poor marks for this surgeon because of a scheduling nightmare with poorly trained staff. There's no support before and after for a difficult complete hip replacement. The surgery was aborted 1 week before as a result. Needed transport help to get to appointments and the doctor refused to sign off on the paperwork.

Would NEVER use this dr again. After a hip replacement I was having leg pain 4 months later. Went to see dr Thompson and he said everything looked fine. A year and a half later I'm still having pain and went to see another surgeon that told me that there was an issue. I called Dr Thompson and saw him the next day. He told me maybe I should have used a larger implant and have me the name of another surgeon.

Dr. Thompson knew everything about my injury, and was able to explain it to me clearly. I'm recovering quite well. He runs a very relaxed place in his Poughkeepsie office. Even his dog has the run of the place. One of the ladies in the office is a bit unfriendly (or just cold), and the wait times can be long. But medically, everything was fine, and that's what really matters.
