Dr. William Tidwell, MD

I’ve seen him several times over the past few years. Unfortunately I am seeing them every 6 months due to skin cancer risk. He has excised three cancers over the past three years. Aside from being there for cancer removals it has always been a great experience. Dr Tidwell is always professional and puts you at ease. He does very well at distraction while doing the excisions.

The doctor did a punch biopsy on me for a very small mole I had. He did not explain the risks of the procedure, what to expect, and I did not sign any consent form. Everything moved way too quickly. One minute we're just talking and the next he has me laying down in the chair, doing a biopsy. His nurse did not even apply the appropriate bandage to cover the wound. I was bleeding through my shirt as I left the office. I knew something didn't look right with the stitch job he did and low and behold, I now have a keloid scar where the biopsy was taken that will never go away. Too add insult to injury, several times he made racially insensitive comments about my nationality when he asked me about my background. The two medical assistants who sit at the front desk are pleasant to deal with but the Registered Nurse who takes you back to the office is very rude and doesn't know how to act around patients. The biopsy came back negative, by the way. Would absolutely never return to this office.

Dr. Tidwell is the best dermatologist I've seen.  He really is very skilled and trained. I went to see him since he specializes in Mohs surgery.  Dr. Tidwell was very professional, thorough, and kind, and he answered all of my questions.  Dr. Tidwell and his staff are outstanding, professional, service-oriented, and very friendly, and the office space itself has a clean and comfortable atmosphere.  Dr. Tidwell came very highly recommended. As a health professional myself, who has visited many medical practices, Golden Coast Dermatology is of the  highest quality.  I would recommend Dr. Tidwell to anyone who is in need of an excellent dermatologist of the highest quality.

Dr. Tidwell is very knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated. He really cares about his patients. He always listens attentively to everything I have to say in full, without making me feel rushed and addresses all of my concerns. You can really tell how much he enjoys working in his field and trust that he is invested in helping you to the fullest extent. The staff is very nice and helpful too and it is easy to make appointments. I really do not enjoy going to doctor's offices, but I look forward to my appointments here. I am SO glad I found him! Amazing staff! Very knowledgeable and informative on options best for me. I really like that they take the time to explain things in a way I could understand. The location is nice too.

Visiting Dr Tidwell was a pleasant experience. I went in with concerns over sun exposure and left with a sense of comfort and professionalism. He also taught me how to reduce my future risks while still enjoying the outdoor activities I love.

I went to see Dr. Tidwell for a spot I've been worried about on my back. I'm a surfer and out in the sun a lot. Dr. Tidwell took a picture so we can watch if it changes and said we should keep an eye on it. He also checked out the rest of my skin. He was really friendly, cool office, nice staff.

Dr. Tidwell removed a Squamous cell Carcinoma on my left cheek. Dr. Tidwell and his staff were knowledgeable and friendly resulting in little or no anxiety. In fact, Dr. Tidwell talked with me during my procedure and removed the cancer on my cheek without leaving a scar. Dr. Tidwell call me that evening and gave me his personal cell number in case I needed anything. Dr. Tidwell went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend you consider Dr. Tidwell for all your Dermatology needs.
