Excellent experience
Dr. Moody demonstrated that he genuinely cared, was very knowledgeable about the hernia repair procedure and had a confident yet humble demeanor. The procedure went flawlessly. His and his office staff demonstrated excellence. When I was looking for a general surgeon, I was told early on he was a Christian (which meant a lot to me). In the first moments of meeting him, I experienced a pleasant, peaceful Christian attitude. While no-one wants to have to undergo surgery, I am thankful the Lord led me to Dr. Moody.

Horrible Experience
In May 2023 I was referred to Dr. Moody to remove a tick head from my back. I was scheduled for a morning appointment. I arrived and had to wait 2 hours only to be told they would have to reschedule my appointment. No apologizes, they told he does non-surgical appointments around 5pm. Then why was I scheduled for a morning appointment when they knew in advance what I was coming in for?I went to the second appointment & found Dr. Moody to have no bedside manner & rushed. The sample was sent to pathology & came back fine.I then started getting a bill for the service. I am on Medicare & called them to find out why. They told me the charge is covered by Medicare it was coded wrong by the physician’s office.I have called Georgia Affiliated Services many times ( the billing department for Union General) I was told they would take care of the problem, they did nothing. The last rep told me if the coder can’t read drs notes “they guess”I won’t be going back to Dr. Moody or Union General.

Compassionate and Caring
I have been a patient of Dr Moody for a few years. I was sent to the ER due to internal bleeding. Dr Moody sat with me to explain what he thought was going on and his recommended next steps.. He is methodical, compassionate, and caring. He made sure all my questions were answered before he left the room. After the hospital stay, I had a follow up appointment. Staff is equally caring, and professional. They encourage you to call the office if there are any questions or concerns, and they call back in a reasonable time frame. I am blessed and fortunate to have Dr Moody as my physician- I highly recommend him.

Doctor Moody surgically implanted an 8 by 11 mesh sheet to cover my 5 hernias about 5 years ago. I have not had any problems at all. He is a Christian and this is evident by his attitude and actions. I am recommending him to my 45 year old son who has just developed a hernia.

I unfortunately, had to have a few surgeries in the last few months, however, Dr Moody was an absolute professional in every way. He explains everything fully, and he projects confidence. His skill, knowledge, and communications are superior. I would not hesitate to see him again if needed, and would recommend him highly to anyone.
