Years ago I had a very negative experience with him. I was a patient at SVH for back pain. His nurse woke me up in the middle of the night and said Dr wanted to see me. We we to a small room in the “basement “ and he said he wanted to try something new on me. When I told him I was nervous about it being done then and there, he walked out. His nurse told me more should question him!

My husband has had severe back pain for many years. He is a very complicated case and Dr. Asfora never gives up! He is amazing! He will go the extra mile to make sure his patient's are taken care of. He truly cares about getting the best help for his patient's possible. He needs another surgery of which we went to get a second opinion and Dr. Asfora supported that. He advocates for the patient to be comfortable in every decision made in the patients care. Great physician and man!

He is brilliant, he's polite, he explained my surgery and answered my questions. His staff is wonderful. I feel like for the first time in many years that Ive found the right doctor. When I left my first appt with Dr Asfora as being a previous spinal fusion patient of a different hosp in their area ( it was horrible before not even being able to get treatment), I feel like I struck gold and that my whole medical experience is gonna change for the better having met Dr Asfora. Thank you Sanford
