Dr. Xiao Wang, MD

She does not return phone calls. She does not write down dosing instructions and she is always running behind. Almost every time, I have been at her office for more than 2 hours. Her office staff is rude and you will be on the phone for a while. She did not give adequate instructions on administering a subcutaneous injection and offered no guidance. The medication she prescribed me was also measured differently than what my insurance company sent and they were just so unclear on what to do. I wasn’t sure if I was taking the right dose and called her and she never returned my call. She didn’t care and then called me from a no callerid number that I couldn’t call back and only after annoying the receptionist. Also she doesn’t speak really great English and doesn’t give you a print out summary of your visit or write down instructions for dosing increases or anything and her staff does not care about being timely or deadlines. Also billed my insurance wrong the first time.

I'd give an extra 3/4 star and make it 4.75 if I could. Dr. Wang is truly an exceptional doctor. I have too many problems to list. I've seen too many top experts to count. I've been to world specialists at NIH. Nearly ever doctor I've seen has given up on me - I've heard them say it's anxiety when, in reality, they just can't figure it out. I've been told "There's nothing more I can do", because they just don't care enough. Dr. Wang has stood by me for three years of tests and scans. She hasn't ordered every test I've asked for and I'm still looking for the root cause of my illness. But she has ordered enough testing to uncover some very unusual findings. She usually runs late but I'll never complain - she has stayed past 7pm with me on more than one occasion. You can look into a person's eyes and know if they care. Dr. Wang cares. There will never be a title or award good enough for this doctor. I hope I never lose her.
