Definitely not recommended
Absolutely shocking that a neurologist could not provide any answers and wanted to over-medicate a senior. You’ll leave your visit with more questions than answers.

Left with no answers and feeling stupid! She kept asking “what would you like to do about your issues?” As if I’m a medical professional!! No clarity, seen late, and felt rushed!

Horrible, uncaring Doctor!!
I had to repeat myself several times, because she wasn't listening to me. She gave no concrete answers and was very arrogant. She gave me a quick examination and ordered a prescription for me that my Pharmacist called me to tell me could be dangerous combined with the medication I was taking.

Poor First Visit
Had no interest at all when I was explaining my problem. Took my bp over 200 and didn’t blink an eye I should have been sent to the hospital. My normal bp is 124/70. The visit was a joke.

Overdosed me and actually a woman I was taking care of. When I spoke to her about this after the fact, she admitted that she did and used the excuse “I’ve been a doctor for many years”. My epileptologist wanted to report her for the overdosing.

Neurological issues can be very scary. In my experience Dr.Qi was initially dismissive and downplayed my symptoms. Later she showed no interest in determining what the underlying issue(s) were and instead focused on prescribing me with medication. I advise you to look elsewhere as I did, your mental well-being deserves better.

Dr. Yan Qi provides excellent proactive care for my mother. She is very patient and meticulous and my mother's health has improved due her diligence. Very approachable and will follows up even after office or hospital visits. I personally have worked in a hospital for over 20 years and I can say that Dr. Qi is among the top 10% of the neurologists that I have encountered.

I was diagnosed with catamenial seizures in 2004 and Dr. Qi saw me in the ER when I had my first Gran Mal. I continued care with Dr. Qi until post menopause and an EEG confirmed no more seizure activity in 2014. Dr. Qi always answered my questions to my satisfaction. I felt that I always had enough office time to cover any concerns.

After many tests Dr Qi could not diagnose my illness and told me I had anxiety, I should see a counselor and go back to work. She dismissed me. I was left to find answers on my own. After physical therapy and braces, finally Jefferson Headache Center diagnosed me with RCVS in ONE visit. Even so, Dr Qi would not change her stance that there was nothing wrong me. Because of Dr Qi,it took a year for a diagnosis and disability insurance would not pay. She should read up on RCVS and own her errors.
