Judgmental
She walked out of the exam room before finished speaking. I believe she had decided what she was going to do before she came in to see me. She obviously had preconceived ideas about WHO I WAS. I don’t know why she didn’t do EMG testing either.I had to wait over three months for an appointment. On the day of the appointment there was a tropical storm coming through, and I was unfortunately sick that day. Despite these circumstances, I didn’t want to wait three more months for another appointment, so I mustered all of my strength to get there. Since I am physically handicapped, I can’t express how difficult it was for me to take a shower and get dressed.Driving there proved equally challenging, not to mention mentally exhausting, with the wind, rain and aggressive drivers on the road.I pray that this “doctor,” and all of those like her, get to experience what it is like to have an illness come on them suddenly and lose their livelihoods and the identities they ever knew and valued

Very thorough
Husband was seen by Dr Yan for neuro problem and she was an excellent diagnostician. As a nurse with many years of experience I was impressed. She did her job in a very professional and warm manner.

I am sooooooo impressed with Dr. Yan. I have not been as impressed, as I was with Dr. Yan. My wife had Dr. Stiefel since she was 16, and she is now 68 years old. Dr. Stiefel retired, and she has had Dr. Willis, and now, he is retiring, supposed next year. My wife, Ms. Marsha LYNN Myers, now wants Dr. Yan to take her as a client, now, or when Dr. Willis retires. Dr. Yan is the most pleasant doctor you will find, anywhere.

First visit with Dr Yan was good, considering the reviews on this page. Second visit was horrible. First, she took almost an hour to get into the room. Then she blatantly falsified my nerve test by forcing my legs to flex more than I could physically flex them, thus getting the results SHE wanted. She then skated over the fact that my MRI shows severe stenosis saying, "I see one, two bump but nothing to worry about." I said, "Then what's causing my issues?" She said, "What issues you have?" I explained everything again. Then she put me through the same battery of tests she'd done at my first appointment. Then she opened my lab work which showed several abnormal markers and said, "I see 1 low abnormal and I'm not worry about it." I asked about the others and, no kidding here folks, she said, "I'm not smart enough to diagnose your condition." I asked, "Then why are you a doctor?" She repeated, "I am not smart enough to treat you. You follow check out sign to exit."And left very quickly.

Dr. Yan failed to give me adequate information about the medicine that she was prescribing, nor did she check to ensure that the medicine was safe to take with other meds that I was currently prescribed, or for a nursing infant. I was given this information from another doctor when I called later, after having taken the medicine. This could have been disastrous. I have lost confidence.

I visited with Dr. Yan on April 3 2017 and was pleasantly surprised on how good she is. She took time to take measurements and some simple nerve system tests and explained to me the tests and the reasons. and She was very knowledgeable, experienced and patient in listening to my problems and answering the questions. I found her to be professional(She was graduated from one of the best medical schools in China, similar to Harvard), friendly and caring. One of the best physicians I have visited.

Although her staff was friendly, and made making appointments easy, Dr. Yan was down right useless. I went to her to as a new patient for pain in my upper right back from an old car accident injury. She left me waiting in the exam room for more than 30 minutes, making me late getting back to work, despite that fact that I was one of her very first appointments that morning! She spend less than 20 minutes with me! She was cold, and super unprofessional, and then she tried to over bill me!
