Dr. Yong Kwon, MD

Everyone on the staff were super friendly, which aloud me to feel safe and confident in their knowledge and professionalism during the entire process.

I have suffered from ulcerative colitis for over 30 years and have been to a number of gastroenterologists and Dr Kwon is my absolute favorite. He is extremely kind and explains everything thoroughly

I recently have seen Dr. Kwon for unknown pain. I appreciate that he ordered numerous test before we determined my cause of pain was from the gallbladder. Although I would have liked if the visits could have been closer together. From the initial test to the next visit was one month. From that visit to the final test was another month. Two months is a long time to wait while pain worsens and you don't know why. I agree with the other comments on the office staff. Its a bit counter productive to have a friendly front desk and personable doctor, but the nursing staff have zero expressions or even talk to you. The wait time was 25 minutes from my arrival until I was brought in the exam room.

Dr. Kwon is a very reassuring, easy-to-talk-to doctor, who seems to exude calmness. I am very happy that I was referred to him and I was completely satisfied with the visit and subsequent treatment. His reassuring manner helped so much in the time between the visit and the follow-up procedure. His office staff was courteous and helpful, appointments were kept on schedule and I recommend Dr. Kwon and his practice without any hesitation.

I don't trust this dr.

Dr. Kwon performed an endoscopic ultrasound at Mountainside Hospital. A nurse named Jolly initiated a hand IV for which I told her, the anesthesiologist and Dr. Kwon of massive pain. They all told me it would be ok, and one year later I still have neuropathy in my wrist, constant pain that shoots up my arm and burns my wrist so I cannot perform daily tasks. When I called Dr. Kwon's office, they said it was the hospital's fault, when I called the hospital they said it was Dr. Kwon's fault. No one has offered to help or refer me to a specialist. I suggest everyone beware of hand IVs. It could ruin your life.

Dr kwon is amazing. Cant say enough good things about him. Takes his time to listen to you, punctual, super knowledgeable. This guy is a saint as far as I'm concerned. I'm disappointed I moved out of nj because he is honestly one of the best I've seen.

Dr. Kwon did my first Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. I was nervous but he and his staff made me feel at ease. He removed benign polyps. And I recovered just fine in a week. Thank you! I recommend his services.

Went to him for a consult and follow up colonoscopy. He was highly professional and worked quickly and efficiently. I am young for this procedure, but he totally understood my reasoning and explained the process with ease. I had no anxiety trusting him and believe he did a great job. Also, he didn't make me wait on procedure day which was great because I was starving and sick from all the pre-op laxatives, etc. Would recommend!
