Again, infuriating office staff
Continue to have very upsetting encounters with office staff every time. We appreciate the neurologist and all he has done, but the front staff have no sense of patient care. Called to ask for help with refilling a SEIZURE med because our pharmacy had requested it but were not receiving a response. Was making calls back and forth with Erica at the office and our pharmacy. There was clearly a disconnect between the systems because pharmacy gets a confirmation that their request was successfully sent, but doctor does not receive it. Well long story short, I asked Erica if they can help us and just send the Rx without waiting for the pharmacy request since we are almost out. She pretty much said there is nothing they can do without the pharmacy request. NOTE, this is a med that the neurologist had been prescribing for months now. I have worked in a doctor's office before, there are PLENTY of things you can do to rather than waiting on a refill request from the pharmacy.

Dr was competent, good, answered questions; but it's very hard to schedule a timely appointment. The staff wasn't friendly.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis during an emergency room visit at Sharp Grossmont back in 2012, and lucky for me, Dr Cheng was the doctor who treated my neurological needs. He has been my doctor since day one (it has been six years!) of my entire MS journey and has helped me control my disease to this day. His staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is very nice to see familiar faces every visit, whereas in the past, doctor offices I have visited, the staff turnover was constantly r

I have been a patient of Dr. Cheng for over 10 years and I love the staff and Dr. Cheng. I have found the staff friendly and very helpful. I had some issues with my medical insurance and the staff could not have been more helpful in clearing it. I have witness pushy patients in the waiting room and these patients treat the office staff as their personal servant. Treat others as you wish to be treated and your life will be so much better.

The Office Staff is about the worst I have ever experienced. 1. Constantly being placed on hold for 20 min or more.... 2. After holding the line disconnects ...as if someone picked up the phone and then hung it right back up. 3. After three days of calling, being placed on hold, or being hung up or the line was busy, I finally got through on Monday morning, to be told they "don't make 'new patient' appointments on Mondays"... uh say what?
