Dr. Zachary Cavins, DPM

I have seen Dr Cavins regularly since Dec, 2023. He performed a complete joint fusion of my right great toe in Feb, 2024 and did an outstanding job. He completely resolved a problem that began for me 15 years ago with osteoarthritis. After his careful and thorough evaluation of my problem, he explained all my options. I then took the plunge and had the surgery and I am so glad that I did! At age 72 I am thrilled to be able to walk again pain free! Not only is Dr Cavins an excellent surgeon (every nurse and person who knows his work gives him superior ratings), but he is also a wonderful person who takes genuine interest in his patients. Amazing combination of professional skill and great bedside manner! And his office and nursing staff also do a great job.. One other detail. Dr. Cavins uses an outstanding Home Health service by which nurses came to my home twice a week to examine my foot and change the dressing. They also were excellent! Would give 6 stars if possible!

Dr. Cavins is the best podiatrist I have ever been too. He is caring and takes his time with the patients to make sure they understand all their options and what he can offer them. The staff is friendly and wait time was minimal. His Nurses are all so loving and caring they make you feel like family. I would recommend this doctor to whoever needs Surgery or any Foot care.

I had surgery on my right foot last September and Dr Cavins care was exceptional!! I’m 65 and have seen many doctors through the years and I have to say that Dr Cavins has been the MOST caring and professional provider in every aspect of my recovery. Dr Cavins is a wonderful dr. He cares about his patients. He takes the time to explain everything. He's the best!!!

Six months ago Dr. Cavins performed a peroneal tendon reparation and a calcification clean up on my left ankle. Since first day I liked the staff (in the office and medical areas) of his practice in Orlando (Orange Ave), and him, both professionally and personally too. He was very helpful, professional and patience with my questions since first day. So, he got my trust. This doctor was my second opinion and I can say, it was the right choice. The surgery was a success, the follow up was done as scheduled, and everything has been very satisfactory. Rehabilitation is always the harder part, but I'd say that today I am at 80%, and I am very happy seeing I am still improving, so I am confident I'll reach 90% or better. I am already playing tennis! If a relative or a friend would ask me for an ankle specialist, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Cavins...I couldn't say the same about my pool builder...lol

I have had really bad ingrown toe nails for years. Leaving me with excruciating pain in my toe and hurting to walk. I came to Dr. Cavins with my toe being the worst it ever was. Swollen like a balloon, and leaking puss, Dr. Cavins suggested an ablation. He walked me through what they were going to do step by step. The entire process was super quick and almost painless! I haven’t had an ingrown toenail since! Thank you so much Dr. Cavins!

I've seen him a couple times and hes gonna be doing my surgery in a couple weeks but each time I've been to the office on deltona Blvd the staff is awesome and so was he he will answer all your questions in depth so you understand what's going to happen he doesnt beat around the Bush he cares about his patients
