Dr. Zhaohui Li, MD

Went to see him three times. First encounter he dismissed my side effects on the blood pressure medicine I was on completely. I had to ask to be switched to something else. I was put on a low does of ineffective medicine and when i said I was still having issues despite implementing life style changes was told to stop eating salt and exercise more. Despite me having increased my stepps added cardio and switched to a whole food plant based diet. This doctor doesn’t want to work with you and improve your health he just wants to insist that he is right. I had no blood work or anything done. Just given a water pill and sent on my way.

We unfortunately had Dr Li as my husband’s cardiologist inpatient at Baptist. He was rude, unhelpful and condescending. He told us my husband had a fractured neck when he didn’t and failed to offer zero information about cardiac issues. We had to follow up with him outpatient and he was even more unprofessional and condescending. He couldn’t wait to get out of the room on both occasions. One of the WORST experiences with a doctor ever and we are in our 60’s. I’d rate him Zero stars but had to give him 1 to leave a review.

My husband was in the hospital 2 weeks ago for a fib,this was the first time ever meeting are having Dr.Li for his doctor. He was extremely rude and had no bedside manner. He never explained fully what was going on with my husband. He acted very non professional towards us. We couldn't wait to get out of the hospital and never deal with him again. First impression goes a long way. After 8 days of his care we decided to found another cardiologist doctor.

Doctor Li is extremely attentive, answers all questions and very engaged with my healthcare. His nursing assistant, Sierra, is as well. Our first doctor with his group left the group. We were very pleased with him. I was apprenhsive about a new doctor. But, am totally pleased with him and have confidence in his care.

Oversaw Stress test, results of which indicated need for Cauterization to establish better data. My last experience in NC was not a pleasant one so I was very apprehensive. He assured me that all would be well and that I would have no side effects as i had before. The procedure went without a hitch. We both got better results than expected. Post procedure he explained thoroughly the results of the test. Many thanks to Dr. Li and his team @ Slidell Memorial.
