Poorly ran office
Called 4appt & scheduled fairly closeYet then said I’m considered new patient again so the next appt about a month half.We gladly accepted!Fam Dr scheduled thyroid biopsies & ultrasound with UK Dr to have my blood labs & biopsy reports in hand for todays appt for thyroid & diabetes.I signed in seeing no one & waited A lady called me back, asked us how we were & had us sit in exam room. Another lady comes in says I had not been seen since xxxx so since so long I’m considered a new patient again &there is no way he can see me today that he does not have the time.I asked why we were there then & my husband schedule off today to drive me?She then shifted a bit & said it was a new lady who made my appt & she was unaware. We said she explained to us I’m considered new patient again when making appt why she changed date. She said he can see me tomorrow at 3:45.My husband can’t take off tomorrow he just did this am. Sad way to run business!Rarely offices make mistakes yet they fit you in. Sad!

He’s a very good doctor. Discovered a very serious illness I had. But he has gotten to the point he doesn’t listen. There are reasons for long periods between visits. Instead of getting an attitude with your patient, ask what has been happening in their life. May have a lot to do with their blood work results. If you are too busy to listen, you need an assistant.

Dr Kahwash is a nice guy, but he has become too busy lately. He is unwilling to listen, and will "shush' the patient if they try to speak. Visits there are completely by the book, and would have went the same if the patient was not even there. He looks at the bloodwork, and adjusts prescription dosages- then sends you on your way- not giving a chance to speak. Also be prepared for up to an hour wait in the waiting room, then another hour in the exam room.

For someone with just diabetes or thyroid problems he'd be a great doctor. For a more complicated issue, apparently anything not by "the book" just isn't for him. Amazing office staff and nurses ! Very helpful and kind. Lori, shan'tEl and abigail areally Huge helps and I can't say enough about them.
