She is really knowledgeable and was a great advocate for my son. She gives practical advice and knows a lot about nutrition. She even called the pediatrician to make sure there was good communication with the medical team.

She was the nutritionist at the Oakland Children’s Hospital when my premature baby lost the most weight. She let my baby starve because the neonatologist said it was best, to prevent NEC. I learned this in hindsight, as her mother. I didn’t know NICUs could starve babies but I learned the doctors get paid to just keep them alive. This nutritionist never said a thing, but I learned her brain did not grow properly and her weight, as she wrote in the medical file, “fell off the charts.” Why not tell me anything so that I could force the doctors to feed my poor baby? Why does that hospital even have nutritionists? She should not be a nutritionist anywhere!
