Alexander Ferro, PA-C

I have been in psychiatric care for over 30 years now and I have had some great doctors. I just found another one today. After struggling for around 6 months with worsening depression, Alex told me that he was going to get me feeling better. He was very reassuring. I am very much looking forward to feeling normal again. I am excited to see what the future holds, but things seem to be looking positive. I am optimistic.

I was about to give up on my psych care until I saw Alex. He actually listens to me and helped me work through a lot of my past abuse. He challenges me and pushes me forward when needed. He is the first person who didn't just throw medications at me and push me out the door.

Although referred to Dr. Becker, I’ve been rescheduled to see Dr. Ferro twice. On both occasions I’ve left feeling disregarded and belittled when I’ve come expressing concerns that my medications feel disruptive. After explaining feelings of unprompted spiraling, he said, “It’s okay to be a little sad. Talk to your therapist.” If you just want your prescriptions refilled, this is the place for you. If you want to feel in control of your life and supported with your mental health… look elsewhere.
