Alexander Menkes, PA-C

I recently had several C&P exams with PA-C Menkes for a disability claim I had filed with the VA. I just wanted to say, he was very professional as a C&P examiner. He examined me for 8 disabilities that I had filed for with the VA. He performed each exam according to VA protocol using Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ). I have reviewed each of my DBQs after the VA decided on my claim and I am happy with my disability rating and the interaction I had with PA-C Menkes. I have read some negative reviews about PA-C Menkes written by other Veterans. These reviews are inconsistent with PA-C Menkes' reputation of compassionate care as a PA. I am a VSO and assist Veterans with their claims, so I see this behavior often. Veterans will give a negative review on a C&P examiner just because they didn't get a disability rating they wanted. These reviews are unwarranted and should not reflect on this dedicated healthcare professional's reputation. Thank you for your service PA-C Menkes.

Alexander Menkes is a compassionate and empathetic provider. He has a way of putting patients at ease and making them feel comfortable during what can often be a stressful or uncomfortable experience. He is always willing to answer questions and provide education about health and wellness, empowering his patients to take an active role in their own care.

Absolutely horrible he made a story stating my va disability had improved which it hasn’t and decreased my disability rating this doctor should to used to determine anyone disability rating.

Based on my experience, I would stay away from Alexander L Menkes, PA-C, at all cost. Mr. Menkes is now contracting with QTC Medical Services, Inc., to conduct C&P Exams for the VA. I am an old Marine whose body was badly abused while serving. I recently went to Mr. Menkes for my C&P exam. I have arthritis in my knees due to service-connected plantar fasciitis, which is very common for combat trained infantrymen. However, Mr. Menkes stated on the exam report that my arthritis was due to obesity and not my service in the Marine Corps. If my weight was a concern, Mr. Menkes could have simply asked me and I would have informed him that my weight was due to years of extremely high doses of prednisone prescribed by the VA after military service. On a good note, the VA rejected his report and awarded me a rating in spite of his report. Are you aware how bad a report must be in order for the VA to disregard their own medical report? BEWARE! DO NOT USE!
