Dr. Alicia Bridgeland, PSY

Dr. Bridgeland was to provide family counseling for myself, kids and we wife through our divorce. She did not do that. She focused on a past trauma and rather than help us all work through that, we rehashed the details over and over. She was supposed to help us learn to coparent in a positive way and we walked away with no strategies. I would not recommend. She also stated she took insurance but refused when it came time to bill us. She’s working with closely with a Guardian Ad Litem to get the court outcome the GAL wants and not what is best for the kids. I would not recommend to anyone. She also does not bill via mail. She sends a video or picture of a bill. What kind of professional does that? If you want actual help, find someone else.

Dr Bridgeland has an impressive background in training and experience. She’s extremely friendly yet professional and my family was comfortable with her immediately. She has been able to work with several family members and we all connect well with her. Her help has been greatly appreciated by us and we can’t imagine seeing anyone else anymore. She’s insightful and approachable. I trust her completely with the mental health of my family and friends. I’ve recommended her to others who continue with her successfully as well.

Went to her for multiple years as a recommendation, wish I could take it back. Her entire goal was to get me to hate my father. It really caused tension in my family for the years that I saw her. Once I left, things started to clear up. I would not recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alicia Bridgeland for the past 11 years, starting when I was in high school. My life has been and continues to be shaped greatly by her. Her wisdom, values, and life mentality truly inspire me. In everything Dr. Alicia Bridgeland does, even the most minor detail is treated with the utmost excellence.

Going to see Alicia was the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. Alicia listen and then gave great ideals and exercises on how to deal with the stress I was having.

Dr. Bridgeland and her accounting staff have been unable to bill my insurance company for over 1 year for which she is an in-network provider. She lied and stated that our claim was denied. After requesting the denial paperwork from the insurance company, she changed her story blaming the insurance company. Her accounting/insurance person's official explanation to us was that "we have had no response from insurance" and we are turning over your account to collections. Very unprofessional.
