I was scheduled with this provider for medication management after an evaluation/ADHD screening with an LCSW. At both appts I had with her, she refused to discuss the results of the ADHD screening with me or to diagnose/treat. Stated that depression /anxiety can cause ADHD-like symptoms. I said I strongly believed it was the opposite for me, ignored. At both appts I felt extremely shamed about my low sex drive. She stated that as women sometimes we have to “just do it.” At both appts, she wanted to prescribe brand new medications that were just FDA approved. I stated I wasn’t comfortable with that, tried something similar in the past, etc. Didn’t matter, she prescribed it anyway. At the last appt I had with her, I began crying out of frustration for not being listened to. She then stands up to usher me out of her office into the nurse’s office. The nurse is attempting to calm me down and she further shames me by listing the medications I have tried in the past to everyone in the room.
