A Tale of a Neurotic, Arrogant Doctor and her Rude
A Tale of a Neurotic, Arrogant Doctor and her Rude, Militant StaffPart 1I've been going to this doctor's office for over a decade, and Dr. Amy Farrell has always been cold and neurotic. Her staff is equally unpleasant and rude, but I stuck with the practice because they generally have open availability (now I see why) and it's a hassle getting acclimated with a new doctor. These are some of the unbelievable things they've done over the years:-Refuse to give patients their own PD (pupillary distance) because they don't want you to order cheaper glasses and contacts online. Most eye doctor's offices don't withhold their own patients' information because it's a patient's right to know. We're paying them, and it's information about us. But Dr. Farrell is so greedy, she holds your PD hostage because she wants to bully you into ordering contacts and glasses from her practice.

Horrible office workers.
We paid our bill to Dr. Farrall quickly and on time, as we do all of our bills. This office received the check and cashed it. They have trouble assigning payments to patient accounts. But the worst part is they are rude and confrontational whether in person or over the phone. The person I talked to about our recent payment talked over me, shouted over me, and told me I was the problem. How can a place of business receive a check, and not have the administrative ability to assign that payment to an account? Totally incapable of processing payments.

I have been going to Dr Farrall since she took over the business from Dr M. I have never had a problem and she is very thorough and a caring Doctor in my opinion. I also buy my glasses there and when I have had any problem them " adjustments & scratched lens " it was taken care of promptly . I have always been treated courteously and respectful .

Dr. Farrall is always kind and concerned. She doesn't just care about your eyes, she wants to know about your health in general, too. Her exams are very thorough and she communicates her findings so that the patient understands all the options.

Never buy your glasses through her practice - wait forever for them and often not satisfactory.

While Dr. Farrall is a good doctor she will not help customers with eyeglass problems in any way. When you encounter a problem with glasses purchased at the Vision Center of Delaware you will have to return countless times in the hopes they can correct the problem. The doctor will not offer any input when a problem arises and pretty much doesn't care. You are then stuck with a useless pair of glasses and no recourse because of a no refund policy that is in small print and never noticed.

The staff at the Vision Center of Delaware is poorly trained and more concerned about their personal lives than anything else. If you encounter any problems with your new glasses they initially try to help and then start blaming the patient. I believe Dr. Farrall is GOOD when it comes caring for patients' eyes, BUT when it comes to customer's satisfaction with new glasses she doesn't want to take responsibility for errors and you get stuck with a new pair of glasses which are USELESS.
