Lacking knowledge, experience and empathy
I immediately realized Ms. Hand is nowhere close to being on the list of my providers. However, the clinic takes my insurance and other clinicians are supposedly under the water. Thus, I was stuck with Ms. Hand. Not only does she appear to lack the required experience to be doing this independently, but also seem to lack the training required to become a license nurse practitioner. She comes across as someone who lacks empathy for psychiatric patients, making it impossible for me to continue seeing her.Ms. Hand likely needs five more years of experience shadowing clinicians to both enhance her skills, knowledge, and hopefully learn the basic empathy required for this role. At this very moment, it seems she is underperforming substantially as nurse.

Horrible Nurse Practitioner
Horrible clinician, poor bedside manner, unprofessional, clueless and careless about psychiatry. Stay away at all cost.

Poor Bedside Manner; Lack of Experience
Telehealth
Nurse Practitioner Hand came across as lacking the knowledge and skills to treat patients with psychiatric disorders. We quickly made a switch to another provider and glad we did so. What is most concerning about Hand is that she rather than admitting she lacks the experience to treat patients she pretends and makes the conditions worse. This is not how it should be from a practitioner who actually be putting the patient’s interests and wellness above her need to appear capable.

Unprofessional and Lacking Patient Care. My experience with Anaka Homet Hand, NP, was unfortunately disappointing. Rather than listening to my specific concerns, I found her to be rigid in her own views and dismissive of mine. This created an environment of distrust that made it difficult to feel supported in my care. Additionally, our sessions often veered off course, with her venting frustrations about other staff and psychiatrists, which was both unprofessional and uncomfortable. After two months, I chose to seek care elsewhere, which was a much-needed change. Based on my experience, I would not recommend NP Hand to other patients. Her approach to patient care and communication lacked the empathy and professionalism typically seen in nurse practitioners, which is critical in the mental health field.
