Andrea Mason is caring, supportive, and determined to help families thrive even through the most difficult situations. I have referred several families to Andrea, and have also collaborated with Andrea on several cases. In each of these cases, Andrea showed her commitment and expertise throughout the duration of the necessary therapy. I highly recommend Andrea Mason if you or your family is needing a well-experienced therapist for reunification, parent coordination, parent-child conflict, or play therapy.

Expertise welcomed
Andrea has a rare and welcome expertise in the area of Early Childhood development and Attachment. She is an experienced therapist as well as Parent Coordinator. Her office is set up with an amazing play therapy room and kid friendly lobby. I have referred several families to Andrea over the years who have been immensely helped by her services. Andrea is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and relatable. Her warmth especially comes through when working with children. Her expertise is very helpful to families who need assistance navigating the court system. She has a solid reputation and high respect from the Judges, Attorneys and Family Law professionals. Her skills and relationships help ease the navigation for families. I highly recommend Andrea as a therapist, Parent Coordinator, and colleague. She is a gem to have in Pinellas County.

Now that my case has been closed I can finally expose Andrea Mason for what she did to me and my family. I had an elaborate review on here prior, however Andrea complained to the Judge it was hurting business and because my son was a minor I “Should” take it down.Basically Andrea had a “”GAG” order placed on me. Andrea is a awful human, she is contracted with ECA, GAL and Medicaid and hired for private cases on the notion she will work in the best interest of the child. Andrea does everything but that. Andrea works in favor of the state and OR the PAYING parent. Andrea has a lack of communication skills and likes to have “fun with her clients”. By fun I mean she messes with your children, and then uses your reaction against you in court. She is a LMHT, however she plays many roles when it comes to custody cases and especially cases in dependency court. Andrea is a expert witness for the Party against you. When you first meet her she will be cunning and you will think she is nice, only

Andrea is a terrible person and should not be in her position of authority. When she was on my case, she had very little experience and it showed completely. She was nasty and judgmental & took what my scorned ex said about me to heart and believed him. She was the worst person ever to deal with and said awful and untrue things about me in her report and court. Dealing with Andrea was like dealing with a petty person with the emotional intelligence of a high schooler. If you want a gullible and unintelligent person to work on your case that will believe your ex, please hire Andrea. She is extreme unorganized and would write facts about my case on a napkin from Dunkin Donuts. She was a nightmare and it is scary that she was in charge of my child’s well being. Do yourself a favor and find a quality and educated individual for your needs. I promise you, do your research and you will be happy you did.

Andrea was the most unprofessional individual to work on my child custody case. She did not use logic, facts, and was biased against me from the beginning. She did not have my child’s best interest in mind and used her personal opinion of me to make her judgment about time sharing. I absolutely would run from the hills if you are thinking of appointing her as a Guardian Ad Litem. She has the grammar ability of a 4th grader and cannot form a complete sentence In her report, she does not use recommended GAL guidelines in her final report, and will side with the parent who kisses up to her the most. She is extremely unexperienced as a Guardian Ad Litem and will cost you a lot of money in legal bills just to get the fair and righteous outcome that should have happened in the beginning. I honestly think she’s a terrible fit to be in a position of making logical judgments. She is lazy and will not remember important details about your case. Run. Run. Run away from her.

Former Client of Andrea – Nov 30, 2019

In the begging I felt like things might help my child but after going for 2+years it was not the case but the opposite. She did not make my child feel like she had what she called "A safe zoon" to talk openly and freely without her telling the parent which is farthest from the truth. My child shared things that later Andrea shared with the issue parent in which my child ended up having consequences at that parents house because of what she said. My child ended up going in saying everything was fine when it wasn't because my child was afraid of what might happen if my child opened up given my child was in trouble with the parent. Then I was told that she no longer could help my child!! Also Andrea is inappropriate making rude remarks and gestures in front of other clients about other clients sometimes allowing the other client to hear the rude unprofessional remark. Not professional in my opinion. I would not recommend and would not have even given 1 star if I had a choice.

Andrea Mason only listens to what she wants to hear. She makes up her mind on a subject and does not listen to anything else. She does not take notes and is very sloppy in her appearance (unkempt hair and clothing) and the office is very dirty. The wait time is not very bad usually around 10 minutes. I had my child seen by her for 2 years and she was very unproductive. She does not provide coping skills to children.

Our family was very upset to say the least before we were able to speak with Andrea. She was able to discuss things and inform us about information that was extremely helpful and appreciated. All I can say is that she was able to bring a huge weight off our chest after speaking with her.

My family and i have been seeing Andrea for over a year now and her services (counseling, child play, re-integration), has been second to none. Andrea is an incredibility detailed councilor who continually goes above and beyond to address questions, concerns and safety items. Plenty of toys for the children, snacks, games and has an astute sense of both parents and children's concerns and feelings.

Andrea is a wonderful Counselor who truly cares about children and families and takes the time to build a good relationship and trust. She runs pretty much on time and works hard to accommodate urgent appointments, even working through her lunch hour a few times for us. She uses play techniques incorporated in her sessions to allow the children to be comfortable and she doesn't push them too hard. She has frequently called me outside of her normal office hours to discuss an issue I had emailed.
