Dr. Andrea Yaktus, DPT

Please be wary of Dr Yaktus when starting your scoliosis therapy journey whether seeking Schroth or regular PT. It is very unfortunate to have a licensed professional who is outwardly very knowledgeable, kind, and friendly to suddenly abandon you, twice, in a matter of a couple of years. The first time was forgiven, but the second time was unthinkable, heartbreaking, and downright unprofessional. Take the reviews as a warning as she is not to be trusted as a consistent healthcare provider. This type of disregard for patient care is unacceptable.

What happened ? Why? I finically found a trained Scroth physical therapist. I went to 3 appointments and then nothing . She won’t answer text messages . She knows a lot about my issue but disappeared.

My daughter went to her for scoliosis treatment, and things were going very well for several sessions. One day, Dr. Yaktus called to cancel an appointment about 30 min before it was scheduled to begin, and I have been unable to get in touch with her since. It’s been a month. She won’t respond to texts, emails, or phone calls. She won’t provide billing information for insurance purposes. She just disappeared. I thought something terrible must have happened to her until I saw similar reviews. It’s very sad she would do this to a 14-year old patient who was doing everything she was told during therapy.

Dr Yaktus took full payment upfront for 6 classes and abandoned after two classes. Tried calling, texting, emailing or even posted letters on her office door but didn’t call back. I am now approaching BBB and exploring other legal options. Most unprofessional business ever. Horrible simply put.

Deep into treatment provider stopped responding to messages requesting appt. Disappeared without notification and left patient hanging. This patient always paid bills promptly. Unreliable. Abandoned.

Dr. Yatkus refused to treat me for a partial session when I was 10 minutes late due to unexpected traffic (one hour drive to her office). She was unprofessionap in her manner and told me to stop sessions with her.

Caring, patient, understanding, comforting and extremely knowledgeable !! Would not go to anyone else!!

Sadly I have to change my review. Andrea was part of my care team and really a blessing then suddenly out of nowhere after talking daily she informs me that she doesnt want to make me worse. This was after a horrible out of town consult messed my scoliosis She has the only neck skills my body tolerated and left my team blindsided and as a result has now left me worse she was supposed to stay on and consult but this has hit me hard losing someone that cared and I trusted and now fully ghosted when we all still have answers. Sadly i did not expect this and im alreadt struggling and now have no one to treat what she could. Hope others dont become ghosted. In the end I ended up being blocked this after countless texts from her about trauma shes two different people she just did exactly what she said shw wouldn’t. Now after giving me bad advice for months suddenly my injury is not a PT issue. Wish you well Andrea but please take some ethics and boundary courses
