Angelica Menchaca, FNP-C

This is my first pregnancy and I had tons of questions. I can't express how professional and comforting NP Menchca was in answering all of my questions and making me feel at ease during my first trimester. Her comforting attitude put me at ease and I look forward to our future visits. So grateful to have found her through the Kaiser Network.

I recently saw NP Menchaca during my pregnancy at Kaiser. I loved her, she was awesome in her care, going above and beyond to ensure that both my baby and I were healthy throughout the pregnancy. Her down to earth attitude made it really easy to talk to her and overall, I felt like she really cared. For once in my life, I actually looked forward to going to my Dr appt.

I recently had the pleasure of being treated by Nurse Practitioner Menchaca, and I couldn't have been happier with the care I received. Not only was she knowledgeable, but I felt she was also compassionate and attentive to my needs. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and explain my treatment plan in a way that was easy to understand.

Went in to see NP Menchaca for a back and shoulder injury. I was very impressed that she took the time to hear me out and explain things to me in words that I could understand. She was very easy going and I felt very comfortable talking to her. On top of that she followed up with me and made sure that my follow up care was going well.

NP Angie Menchaca was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to help me and answer all my questions immediately. She was very professional and was very attentive. She was able to treat me and knew what she was doing. I would recommend her to anyone.

Saw her at KP. Gave me wrong information confirmed by a doctor, causing unnecessary stress. Did not explain anything. Felt rushed and disrespected. Lack of follow-up as well.

Imagine you have nausea, swollen breasts, sleepy all the time, and pregnancy tests turn positive instantly. You have no unusual bleeding or signs of a miscarriage. They even find the fetus on your ultrasound and it turns out that perhaps you conceived later than a traditional ovulation calendar indicates because your periods are irregular. Instead of telling you everything is probably fine and just come back later - the "NP" acts like she's seen a ghost, sits quietly for 20 minutes staring at the ultrasound without explaining anything. She calls in a doctor who says well everything looks great EXCEPT your fetus might be DEAD. BUT really we have no idea and even if you have no symptoms of a miscarriage go home and carry this dead baby inside you for another two weeks until we decide if its alive. That was my experience with this awkward NP with zero bedside manner. One of the jobs of a doctor or nurse is to deliver information in a way that isn't traumatizing or hurtful. She FAILED.
