Uneducated and uninformed
I was an established patient with this provider. This physician refused to sign a one page document stating that I have a disability (that only my provider can sign) because she doesn’t feel that diabetes is a disability. A simple google search will tell you “diabetes is considered a disability under most laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act. This is because diabetes can significantly limit the function of the endocrine system, which regulates blood glucose and insulin. This is true even if a person's blood glucose levels are controlled by medication, insulin, or diet” I am very disappointed with her insensitivity and ignorance.
