There is strong reason for all the negative reviews. Have the good sense to go somewhere else. She should be barred from her practice.

Highly recommend
From the outset, Anne exhibited a deep understanding of the complexities involved in family dynamics and reunification processes. She approached our situation with compassion, patience, and an unwavering commitment to our well-being. Her ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space allowed us to feel heard and understood.

Horrible horrible horrible
She was horrid, she would constantly draw conclusions and made my daughter believe she was a bad person. When my daughter would tell her she did not want to hurt herself she told her, “yes you do you need help”. She told me to take my daughters door off it’s hinges, take away all electronics and not allow her to be by her self simply because of the risk of self harm. She always left my daughter upset and my daughter often described her as “mean” or “judgy”. STAY AWAY!

Direct and Understanding
Dr. Hammon is great at understanding one’s issues, working through ways to change one’s own behavior, praising successes, and encouraging improvement where it’s still needed. I suspect some of the reviews here are influenced by her being direct and not indulging avoidance. She certainly did that with me. It’s exactly what I needed. If you really want help changing your behavior, she’ll give it.

cannot recommend highly enough
I started seeing Dr. Hammon when I was 21, and she truly changed my life. I chose her primarily to address my PTSD and OCD. It's been three-four years since our first session, and I've made an insane amount of progress. She gives practical advice, and she's very direct. I felt comfortable being honest with her, because I knew she wasn't there to judge, but to encourage me to examine why I was repeating certain behavioral patterns. She's coached me through one of the most traumatic things that can happen to a person, and without her guidance, I don't know if I'd be as healthy and well-adjusted as I am. If you're in your 20s, I really recommend her. She definitely gets it and has never given me suggestions I felt like I couldn't realistically implement.

Dr. Hammon has been with my family for 3 years. She is amazing. She genuinely cares about not only my step kids but our family as a whole. She tries to protect my children’s privacy but knows when she needs to speak with us. She has been a great advocate for us when have needed her. The last year and a half have been very rough for us and I honestly don’t know where we would be without her. We are very thankful for her.

I agree with the bad reviews below. Dr. Hammon made the problems worse with my daughter. She forced her to say things she didn't want to say. And, she didn't believe her when she told her about being mentally abused by her father, basically calling her a liar. She showed great bias towards the father and helping my daughter was not a priority at all! My daughter told me repeatedly that she didn't trust her and always felt like she wasn't listening. Anne was just going through the motions and making my daughter feel bad for having certain thoughts and feelings - putting a guilt trip on her. Please, STAY AWAY from Dr. Hammon!

She is incompetent and best described as creepy. My child was never able to feel at peace in her presence, and said she twisted his words to create a constant need for additional visits.
