Ashley Merlati, NP

Back in November 2019, I miscarried my first baby. Honestly my whole experience was terrible at Allied Associates, but Ashley was the icing on the cake. After losing my baby and having a D&C, which is traumatic enough, I had the worst post-op apt. I was still bleeding a couple weeks after my procedure and there was some concern about when it would stop. Ashley told me that I may have to endure another D&C. It wasn’t the fact it was a possibility but the way she communicated was cold & not empathetic. Then after telling me I was on pelvic rest, & I joked I wouldn’t be exercising vigorously, she said “well, if you want to have another baby next year, you’ll have to get into better shape.” Then left the room. I was at my lowest and most vulnerable. Yes, I was at my heaviest (around 170 & 5’4”) but that shattered me. I wasn’t treated like a mother who lost their baby. Like a human. Like someone who was undergoing the worst scenario. I pray she never treats another patient like this.
