Dr. Barbara Baumgardner, PHD

Dr. B’s care has been one of the best things in my and my son’s life. My son, who has disabilities, has been in her care for 11 years now. Her staff has gone out of their way to help us when we’ve run into challenges with the pharmacy, his day program, insurance, etc. Dr B is knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient and kind. She looks for multiple options that will work to help you and gives you holistic options if you don’t want to go the route of prescriptions. She looks thoroughly into what might be contributing including doing thorough bloodwork and a meticulous analysis of the results. My son has the best relationship with her. He feels safe, happy and heard when he meets with her. He knows she cares about his wellbeing and he trusts her. She has always treated him with dignity, respect and compassion.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! My son visited Dr. Bomgardner in the middle of October for high anxiety. It was quite a while until we got into her office which I thought was a good sign. I wish she would not be excepting new patients then we would not of had to go through what we went through in the hour that we met with her. She was Awful in the way she talk to my son and myself. I felt worse when I left then when I went in. It cost $345 for a visit and an hour I could never get back. He was on a waiting list at PCH for months and they finally called the week after we left her office so that is a blessing. She prescribed to medications for my son which she thought he really needed. One of which she said she has prescribed five times in the entire time she has been a doctor. When I let her know we would not be coming back she canceled both prescriptions and Is choosing to let my son suffer. Extremely disappointed so just do your research.

I've enjoyed my time working with Dr. Barbara Baumgardner. She is insightful, truthful and offers tools and opportunities for self awareness and growth. Other members of our family have found Dr. Baumgardner to be a great support. She teaches self-reliance and awareness with kindness and sincerity. I highly recommend Dr. Barbara Baumgardner.

Dr. Baumgardner has been an amazing advisor in coping with family matters & medications surrounding life w/ a special needs adolescent & ill family members. She gentle but direct, and oh so compassionate. A real gem in the west valley. Thanks, Dr. B!!
