Barbara Haning, LCSW

I found Barbara while searching for a therapist for a family member in the Knoxville area. She and I spoke by phone- we set up the appointment date and time, confirmed her location and policies, etc. I gave her both my full name and number and the patient's full name and number to facilitate communication. Because of the pandemic, Barbara was giving her clients the option of being treated either in-person at her home-based office or virtually. She told me to have the patient call her one week before the appointment to confirm whether she preferred to be seen virtually or in-person. Tomorrow is the appointment we've waited a month for. Over the past week, we've attempted to call several times to confirm. Barbara's number is disconnected, and no one has received a call with an update about the confirmed appointment. It's unprofessional and disappointing to waste a month of someone's time waiting for an appointment that won't happen.
