He called me a liar and as always forcing me to do stuff, I don't wanna do. I'm sure he does his other patients the same way. He was a good listener when I was in the seventh grade, but this seems to gone away. He is not the person I thought he was.

Listening
Barry Snider is a good listener. Sometimes if you say things out loud it’s very enlightening. He listens and then talks about your concerns after he has heard. He got me hear my own voice. No therapist is a magician. No spells. But getting me to hear myself talk was good. He also had good suggestions. But he delivers them as suggestions. Kind of like “you knew this all along”. He reminds you how to get back in a (somewhat) straight line. I still have issues. But Rome wasn’t built in a day.

He was great with our foster daughter. She is very shy, and he was able to connect with her in our first session. He saw things about her that others may consider a problem, and let her know that she could find strength and pride in those parts of herself.
