Beatriz Galvis, MA

I felt like Beatriz Galvis was not for me. I was saddened to find out how cold hearted & uncompassionate she was during our first session. I would have tried again with her but after the appointment I felt more anxiety, more paranoia & more fear of rejection. She wanted me to have a primary care doctor, a physical, a psychiatric evaluation & a change of routine in order to continue to be seen by her. I would have gladly done those for her (I've never had a therapist ask these before) but I am in a horrible place in my life where I have medical trauma & fear of psychologists. Those simple tasks are nightmares for me to do, not to mention the social anxiety I'll experience during the process. Since she was unable to see that these were problems that I needed help with, I felt treated unfairly. I wish I never saw her so I could save myself the rejection & terrible experience. She was unhelpful, I felt like our appointment was an interrogation. There was no love or understanding in her.

My daughter and I saw Beatriz for family issues related to divorce. Cannot thank her enough for the radical change in our relationship. We were able to forgive, reconnect and move forward. I give Ms Galvis the highest recommendation! She is awesome!
